Proffesions for a 5 boxer

Hi, my main is a priest and other 4 toons are hunters, and was wondering what proffesions to take up. I would like my main to be a enchanter (for the instance loot ), I have a maxed alchemy , enchanter , J/C , miner ,herbs , on my lvl 70s/80s , although I dont really play them now since multiboxing.

I was wondering would having 5 engineers using a sapper bomb be a good idea and a good way of speeding things up in instances, farming and maybe in PvP ?

Maybe a could also get some gathering skills for them also ? What would you guys suggest ?

To start, make your main guy have enchanting simply so you can disenchant. I find that an incredibly large amount of gold comes from farming instances and then DE'ing the 74+ greens and blues and selling them on the AH.

Apart from that, I don't do professions at all, because I get more gold from instance farming (and AH farming lol) then any time invested in a profession could ever hope to garner.

The only other potential would be to have 1 guy be a master tailor so you could loot more cloth during your instance runs.

something I do is that on my main I also pick up skinning, because I think it's pretty simple to level as I am going. and also as Tim mentioned Enchanting on the main. I also do crafting professions on my alts, simply because I have the cash to fund purely from AH purchasing and developing relationships with farmers.

TLDR: on the main I recommend enchanting and skinning

As has been stated, my main is an enchanter and tailor, since she does all the looting, and with the beauty of the interact with target function its easy to have a slave be a skinner which on of my hunters is. So I second all the above mentioned but I do have a slave as a skinner since my main gets full enough on loot and cloth and its easy to hit my generic assist focus and then have them interact with target to have my slave skin.

I just grab whatever I need.

So far I have a skinner, miner, Jewelcrafter, blacksmith, leatherworker, tailor, and enchanter.

If you really wanted to min/max, you could go JCx5/BSx5, but that would be quite spendy

Thanks for replies, I have enchant and mining on my main toon currently. Will go skinning on a slave to then , sounds a good idea. Already have a tailor on a lvl 70 alt although I would probably make more money selling the cloth on AH.

Comming back to Engineering, anyone tried the AoE combo I was thinking of ?

4 Sapper charge , 4 explosive trap , 4 volley fire , 1 holy nova. ( 4 Hunters and 1 Priest ) ? Should make a nice little bit of spike damage hehe.

ROFL, that sounds nasty! AND so much fun!

I have a chanter (not being boxed - was my PvE Raid Main) at 80 and she's my tailor for making bags and threads for my alts.

As far as what im boxing... Right now, we have only picked up skinning and mining. I figure that by the time I get them to NR, I can pick up tailoring on one for the cloth drops. My biggest problem is I don't really want to work on gathering professions while Im on RAF time, so I usually go back and set up gathering once they pass 60.

I don't like this trend calling other character you control "slaves". Sounds kindof mean. I refer to them as a "team"

I took me a bit too, but you just find the key in the keybindings for each character and for instance I have mine set to the ~ key. I initiate my basic macro of:

/assist focus

and they all target that mob, assuming my main does, then I run up so they are within looting range and click my ~ and my skinner skins. I use this for everything from Flight Masters to Vendors to Trainers. And collection quests are pretty easy to do now with that as well. I loot the mob first with my main and then have my "Teammates"(your right Brick Top) assist me and they have autoloot enabled so if they have a quest item on them the first guy gets it.
