Had a quick question for anyone willing to answer. I am new to multi boxing, and plan on 10 boxing in the near future but i need to get 5 boxing under my belt first. So i was looking at poss teams and i keep hearing about a 1 Pall 4 Shammy set up that seems to be working pretty well for folks. But i was thinking about a slightly different set up. Has anyone tried 4 locks and a healing shammy? I saw a video on youtube of a guy running Ramps with 5 Locks and using Health Funnel as a means to heal them. The Pets seemed to do a pretty good job at holding agro. So i was thinking with 4 locks, i can have 4 pets ( 2 VW and 2 Felguard ) and then use Chain Heal to heal them all. I can then use the four locks to either drop 10+ DoTs on a boss or over lap The Ranged AoE Fire spell ( Reign of Fire? not sure of the spells name) If i pulled agro i would just have my fear spell on round robin until the the pets picked up the mob again. so i guess the question is, has anyone tried this before? Any ideas or points that i am not thinking of? Thanks ahead of time for any info on it

The big thing is what your goal is: Are you looking to do PVE or PVP? It is hard to say until we know more about that. I personally like Warlocks, I might do a few myself

Straight PvE. I mean dont get me wrong i like helping folks get to the point that they break their keyboards and all but the only reason i want to get into multiboxing is so i can PvE. So yeah i would want to explore this group for Possible End game Heroics

The easiest for straight PVE is probably going to be: 1x Pally or 1x Druid (tank) 4x Shaman

If you want to do instances, at maximum level, you will need a full blown tank capable class. One of: DeathKnight (Blood), Druid (Feral), Paladin (Prot), or Warrior (Prot). The Paladin is easiest to macro, but the Druid and DeathKnight are very workable; the Warrior has a lot of proc abilities, so if you drive that toon it can work... but you wouldn't want a warrior tank when 10-boxing. You'll also need sufficient healing. Take your pick, three or four DPS that have healing capability (usually 3-4 Elemental Shaman) or go with a single dedicated healer. You'll want to consider buffs and debuffs (including crowd control options), especially if you plan to 10-box eventually... and the first five will be half of your team. By buffs, I don't just mean Fortitude, Kings/MotW, Might, Intellect etc, but also things like Earth & Moon or Heroism/Bloodlust. The simpler your team, the better when 10-boxing. Most of the 10-boxers really concentrate on the healing aspect, while their tank/dps are as close to one button mashing as possible. Drive the main tank, for facing the mob and positioning it, but 85% of the concentration is on healing the team. Heroics are 5-man content. Raids are 10-man or 25-man, with basically the same rewards for either and the difficulty scaled appropriately. Google "Mercurio", as he is the most successful 10-boxer to date, for PvE raids.
