ok so i got my new 3 man team up and running all was fine and then the 2 slaves got in another phase. How does this happen and what can i do to get them out of the phase and back with the main? Quite a challenge to boxing when you cant see them

Use Jamba, and use the auto follow after combat / alerts, when you are in a phased zone.

The only time phasing is an issue, is when you cross the phase line. Follow breaks. And the solution is the same. Have some keys mapped to the slaves for movement, that are not mapped to the main/master character. In my case the arrow keys are slave only movement, while WASDQE are main/master only movement (naturally the slaves follow the master 99% of the time). When I notice follow has broken, I hold my forward arrow down for a few seconds. Or if it was a bit further, maybe 10 seconds or whatever. Once the slaves catch up to the master... press my follow (have it on a mouse thumb button for easy access), and all is fixed. If you regularly play in an area with phasing (for example my Icecrown Daily Route), you quickly learn to pause after crossing a given area/phase line, press the slave forward key and then reapply follow. An annoyance of boxing, but not something that is likely to go away ever.

Oh 1 more thing. When I know I am about to approach a "phase line" I will cross over it using the broadcasted key for moving forward. That way we all cross the phase at the same time. Sucks, I know. Stupid design by Blizzard as well, but that's that.

The phasing mechanic absolutely rocks, as far as the world changing in direct response to the actions of the player. The mechanic is amazing, in a good way. What sucks is how it affects boxers, who are a very small minority of the player base... I'd imagine the majority of players with two accounts, don't use hardware or software to 'box' them together even. Anyway... Blizzard should have the quest completed stage, as the default un-phased version of the world, so once the quest chain is finished for all characters there is no phase line for those toons. Currently this is the reverse. There is no phase until the initial quest chain has been taken. Thereafter, you have the phase point and the breaking of follow whenever you cross it.
