| You need two things for this to work. While within warcraft, press Escape. Click on Interface Options. Go to mouse options. Check mark on "Click to Move". Some like this on all the toons, but most find it very annoying on the usual master/driver/hot toon/active toon. Next from the warcraft menu (escape while in wow). Go to Keybindings, looking for "Interact With Target". For me, its about 15 click scrolls of my mouse wheel down. The exact section its in is, "Targeting Functions", towards the bottom. Pick a keybind for this. Unfortunately, this is a protected function, which means we can Keybind it and click that keybind at will, but cannot put it within a macro or script. When you click your Interact keybind, your toon will attempt to move towards a friendly to open their window (or whatever else happens when you right click on them) or move towards a hostile to attack them (again same as right click action). If the toon has Click to Move enabled, and are too far away to perform the right click action, they will move to where the target was standing at the time of the Interact keybind click. This is extremely useful for having a slave/follower move close enough to an npc to accept the quest. You can use Interact to open the Flightmaster's window, a quest window, click on an npc, to loot a corpse which can be targeted (unfortunately, no mining or flower picking), to attack a hostile with a melee toon or to recover from a fear bomb. The range on Interact is roughly 3x further then that of Follow. If an enemy lands AoE fear on your team, broadcast Interact (or assist to target it first, and then Interact), which will cause your entire team to face the enemy and run towards them. Then, when all toons are in range, break follow/auto movement with a movement key, and nuke the enemy down. |

| I recently started as well. Running Pally, mage, lock, druid, and shaman. The vets have already covered it but I wanted to add my highlights from the last 2 weekends of learning... I never went with the 'Leader as Focus' approach. Mostly because I wanted to be able to set focus CC targets(perhaps due to spending 2 years polying moon...oh if only you could target=raidicon...). That and '/assist leader /cast XXX' wasn't working that great for me, perhaps due to latency. This link is a good run down of this approach: The No Focus Manifesto V 2.0 - FTL Easy Mode Tip if you trying running a similiar team(one tank, 4 range) is to hotkey an additional movement key that is globally broadcast to quickly break follow and start casting while you gather and tank. Right now I have a,s,d,x as my normal movement keys and Z is as the global 'forward' to break follow. Not really liking it yet but Z is almost always bound to a utility/proc combat ability so it's not a big deal. The pros apparently have it down to where they can quickly create formations but I ain't quite there yet >_> I've really found Jamba to be really useful right out of the gate. Inorder to get all your chars to accept and complete quests at the same time is to go into Interface -> Addons -> Jamba-Quest and check the options for Mirroring quest acquiring, dropping, completion, ect... After that you need two keybindings: Assist and 'Interact With Target'. Target the quest giver with your main then assist -> IwT to get all your slaves to open the quest window. Accept/Complete the quest on your main the rest will too. Works for Flights(Jamba-Taxi) and other things as well. The same assist -> IwT works to loot but honestly I find it easier just to mouseover to the other monitor and quickly doubleclick the corpse to loot(don't have focus on hover enabled so the first click focuses the window). I have my main in monitor 1 and then the other 4 on monitor 2. I really suggest 2 monitors if you can find the room. Not just for multi-boxing but for day-to-day use. I actually removed the shelving on the desk I'm using to make room for 2 24". Otherwise instead of alt-tabbing you could use the Fast Game Switch keybinds liberally. Also Smartbuffs is awesome. Setup what you want to maintain and then just keybind this macro: /click SmartBuff_KeyButton I have no idea how I ever lived without it after literally one night of using it(last night >_>) |

| Hey could you explain a bit of how you use Smartbuff and what it does for you? I'm really curious how I could maybe use this in a team. |

| I believe that Jamba has the "target=raidicon" feature but I haven't played with it. I use /Follow Focus and /Assist Focus and have had really good luck with them. I do try other macros, my macro skills are very poor, but find these 2 always do what I want. Except for the occassional alt getting an attitude and refusing to cast spells, at least the alt will still melee attack when that happens. I set up the down arrow as strafe right on one alt and strafe left on the other. If I upgrade to 3 alts, already have the account but not used ATM, I will set that one to use down arrow as back. It helps to reset the above mentioned refusal to cast spells, but not always, still trying to figure that one out. After using dynamicperformance addon for a while I have to say that it definitely does a good job. I have it set to maintain 35 fps and even with 3 accounts running, it did, until late in the evening but I think that was from the server side. I usually have lag, fps not latency, after around 6pm PT. Latency, even with 3 accounts running, rarely gets above 100ms. It takes a little to get used to it though. The video, if it falls below the setting, will start to shift a little to adjust the settings to regain the set fps. There is no noticeable lag during this process, it is just a little psychedelic as things in the distance fade in/out to optimize for the lag. I have never, and I believe it is set for this, had any player in normal view range fade out, it only effects background. A big requirement for PVP servers. | Senior Member | Here's how I use smartbuff. Pally - Seal of Wisdom, Righteous Fury, Devotion Aura, GBoSanctuary (for me), other blessings for the rest of my team. Shaman - Water Shield, Earthliving Weapon Hunter - Aspect of the Dragon Hawk Druid - Gift of the Wild, Thorns on the tank Warlock - Fel Armor I have a key that sends /click SmartBuff_KeyButton to all toons. Before a fight I mash it until I see 'nothing to do'. Then I go to work. It work buff something already buffed so for the toons with only one or two things to buff, they just site there.
