New Multi-Boxer

So I got inspired watching your Video's and then Finally seeing a Live Recording. So I bought pwnboxer (your welcome for the money Tim) and I made 2 RaF accounts. I am coming to your server.. BEWARE!! I will be rolling horde on Blackrock of course. If you guys ever need I have a Ventrilo for my Ally guild I run.

I plan to make this thread into a Blog Type about my experiences as a first time multiboxer. I am sure to encounter TONS of things that may and or may not be discussed. I also plan to make it as DIFFICULT ON MYSELF AS POSSIBLE! unfortunately I am not sure when I will be able to convert my accounts into Full accounts do to me being currently unemployed. On the bright side I will have plenty of time to work on this. If you guys have ANY questions post em or PM me.

So to begin with here is a little bit about me. I am 24 Years old and have been playing wow for a little over 3 years. I currently run a guild named Ruckus on US Lightninghoof with my fiance. I like to look at myself as being above the normal type of player in education and skill and I use this to help people who may not get to put as much time into WoW as I do.

My current situation puts me playing usually late at night from 6-7pm CST to about 7-8am. Yes all day. I currently am unemployed for about 2 weeks now for the first time since I was 18. I have been working in Call centers since I was 18 and have almost 5 years management experience in all types of inbound/outbound clients. I currently am not going to college do to a lack of direction on my part.

I love cars. I love cars. I unfortunately have most of my knowledge on paper instead of working on cars. I however own a 1992 Honda Civic Si with a d15b motor, d16y8 intake manifold and b20 Throttle Body with your typical bolts-ons. However the transmission is stuck in 4th currently and it has been sitting for over 2 years because of lack of appropriate income and place to work on it. I would love to own any number of cars from a power house like a blown 427 in a 69 Camaro to a Ferrari f430. I remember Tim asking about a Subaru Imprezza in one of his videos I watched, give me a 22b please

Anywho past all the stuff about my fantastic personality.

DAY ONE!!(pics to be added later)
So I hooked my accounts together one account RaFing the other 2. I copied over to make 3 different wow folders which took me about 45 minutes. Then I went to work setting up the initial settings for pwnboxer.

First thing your going to want to do is choose the number of games your going to play with. In my case 3. Then you want to go and configure each of those Game Clients. so you have 3 boxes here left click on the first one. THIS IS YOUR MAIN WOW! So you click on the little button and point to your wow.exe file in your main window. Then you can choose to limit FPS in the game or not. This basicly helps to maintain consistent performance no matter what your doing. You do not have to limit your mains FPS however I do since I do not have that BEAST of a system. I set max to 60 and background to 30.

Next you can have it auto-fill in a user name I prefer to just check remember user name in WoW client itself. Then you have Enable CPU Affinity. This allows you to set a specific CPU for the game if you have a multiple processor CPU. Here I have a Dual Core so I set my Main unit to CPU1. The last setting here is Apply Graphics Level. This automatically sets the graphics level of that client to Low, Medium, or High. I do not use this option on my main.

Next you can go to your next sessions of games. Point them to their directories you copied over. I set the FPS on both to 20 max and 20 Background and it works fine for me. Then set the CPU Affinity to CPU2. I also apply LOW setting for Graphics Level. Next option after configuring game settings you can enable fast switching between Games. I set this for personal preference to f1. If you multibox different settings you can have multiple profiles. I had to make my own since I have Dual monitors and I wanted them all on my Number 2 monitor. To get the little windows to switch monitor Right click the window and select Switch to Monitor X.

Configuring Keys
So... here is something I ended up taking Tim's Advice on... DO NOT set any letters or your number keys other then the numpad in keys to broadcast to the different wow Clients. It makes typing difficult. However I do set space just because it makes me giggle to type and see my other guys jumping. Then you have mouse broadcasting this is something ill cover later as it pertains to me. Now you have an option to start all games. For those of us that don't have a Beast of a computer I recommend right clicking on each window then selecting start game and logging in individually.
