| YouTube - ‪Multiboxing Hunters - SM Cath‬‏ Could you guys check that out and let me know how the quality is in 480/720/1080? I am using a brand new video encoding method which seems to look good, but would like to double-check with peeps before I roll a ton more out that way. Thanks |

| looks nice tim but the framerate seems a bit low... FYI video freezes tho at 2:13 watching in 1080p... it shouldn't my connection retested and it does freeze exactly at 2:13 restested again and it didn't freeze at 2:13... wierd I know you use camtasia for recording and using xvid instead of divx would be as simple as removing divx and installing xvid then selecting and configuring xvid encoding settings for camtasia. xvid vs. divx comparison http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kv6M2ipVQCA conclusions? one has no restrictions on commercial reproduction without financial compensation the other does. as well as the notable benefits of supporting open source software ![]() xvid codec downloads ---> http://www.xvid.org/Downloads.15.0.html additionally if your looking for a really good frontend for OSS codec's staxrip is the definite choice in my opinion. staxrip includes most of the codec's it requires as a ui framework so you mostly do not require installation of extra codec's http://staxmedia.sourceforge.net you also need 32bit avisynth alongside staxrip for it to work properly. anything staxrip needs to install it will do during it's installation process. http://avisynth.org/mediawiki/Main_Page I should also note than the best high definition codec currently available is x264 or the open source version of H.264 which essentially makes using either xvid or divx less desirable if it's possibly avoided as well as less mainstream or modern. x264 can be used to re-encode bluray at absolutely insane quality settings. Ensidia videos done with sony vegas pro, x264, staxrip, fraps and mp4 with some extremely pleasing results http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFo7XKAnZX0 Last edited by xartin; 06-10-2011 at 06:54 PM. |

| I've been re-encoding a bluray into x264/mkv most of the week using staxrip and it's nearly done... 2hrs 14 mins remaining on a 2 pass encoding job using extremely high definition x264 settings.. x264.exe --preset veryslow --tune film --pass 2 --slow-firstpass --bitrate 15000 --level 4.1 --threads 3 --thread-input --stats Noted i'm only using 3 x264 threads and one thread for avisynth so I could still have a modestly usable system for the duration of the encoding job... time to complete the first pass? Duration: 41:16:35 time to complete the second pass? Duration: 42:53:23 full encoder settings used for x264 Quote:
Job Complete ------------------------------------------------------------ Start: 8:16:01 AM End: 8:31:56 PM Duration: 84:15:55 that did take a long time hehe VERY pleased with the results... looks amazing in media player classic and excellent DTS audio Last edited by xartin; 06-10-2011 at 07:38 PM. | |
