| Hey all This is my first post and hopefully not my last.I finally got myself a upgraded setup with two monitors, nice graphics card, and 4gigs of memory.I have two accounts on wow both 10 and 25 icc geared(stopped playing in july due to cpu issues) one fury/prot war and one holy/ret pal both human and both on the same server. Ive always been interested in dual/multi-boxing and have been a visitor to this site and others for some time now.Now that im finally prepared to do this ,i was hoping i could get some tips on which software, and macros would best suit my setup. I have two monitors so i want to view each toon in its own window , i have nostromo n52te and a zboard wotlk keyboard along with a regular mouse ,,, nothing too over the top.. I would appreciate any help i can get on making this setup a reality for me, in the future im hoping to add my dk into the mix but 2boxing is a fine start for me for now.Ive never boxed before and have no experience but i do know how to play both classes and specs very well .. im planning on using my pally as my main and my war as the secondary...any help on software and macro's would be very appreciated .I did this same post on dualboxing to see what reccomendations they might have , but im very interested in pwnboxer and im almost positive its the software im going to purchase and use. Thank you so much for your time and cant wait for your responses, Liz aka Gemma |

| The best free software is HKN HotkeyNet: Home If you're comfortable with scripts, or willing to learn (lots of stuff on their site) then this is easily the best free software. Other free options include Octopus, AutoHotKey, and for the Mac users Clonekeys. Keyclone Solid ICE - the Official home of Keyclone requires a license per computer, but that license is good forever. It has round-robin, blacklist/whitelist, very rudimentary mouse broadcasting, key remapping and key broadcasting. The one time fee ($20) is nice, but there are better programs available now. There is a short trial version for KC. I'd recommend IS Boxer. www.************ *Edit* goggle isboxer; Tim still has the site blocked I guess.... It has better mouse broadcasting than anything else including send next click (Ground AoE spells like Blizzard) and Repeater Region based heals. Regions swaps between characters are instantaneous. FTL assist is automatic (just drag spells onto the action bar, no need for assist macros). Keymaps are very flexible and let you do a lot (key remapping, toggles, round-robin effects, independent slave action, software side macros); you can click on click bars which execute mapped keys... etc. It virtualizes your configuration file, so you only need one install of warcraft with multiple varying graphic/sound options. This is a subscription based program, $36 per year; there is a 7-day free trial and a 14-day money back guarantee, and IRC support from the isboxer mainpage. Pwnboxer Multiboxing and Dual-boxing software is the software from this site. I've not used it, so cannot comment on it too much, but it does have a lot of features and like isboxer is updated fairly regularly. It has accurate mouse broadcasting, which you enable and then disable via hotkey. There is key remapping where the key you push here is broadcast as a different key on another character. There are dockable clickmaps, which are like click bars except they link to hotkeys instead of mapped keys. There are setting profiles, which is the equivalent of virtualized config files. Pwnboxer has a lot features and is a complete package too. This too is a subscription program, not sure on pricing. Game Commander Pro GameCommanderPro.com | Not an octopus? Then GameCommanderPro is for you. is the last of the payment programs worth looking at. The documentation was extensive, but I have no experience with this software. A few friends have tried it out, but said they liked IS Boxer more. Not sure if there is a trial version or not, but if there is it wouldn't hurt to experiment and see if you like it. Whichever software you end up using... check out the addon: Jamba. It does a lot of things for boxers, which make boxing a lot easier. Last edited by Ualaa; 11-26-2010 at 09:43 PM. |

| I found a video that shows me how to get off my rotation and create other rotations as needed using my nostromo pad (YouTube - How to : Fury Warrior DPS Guide Using Only One Button (with Nostromo n52)) . that should take care of dps with my warrior now i just need to learn the macros and button setups to use to make the warrior do what i want it to. |

| With Pwnboxer, you'll need a method for assist. I'd suggest Focus, its probably the easiest. With two toons, you'll need two focus buttons on each toon. Put the macros on the same keybinds for both toons. You can set keybindings from the warcraft menu (escape - keybindings, from in game). The macros will be: /Focus [Target=Ret'sName] And: /Focus [Target=Fury'sName] You want it so, when you push Keybind 1, they both focus the Ret, and when you push Keybind 2, they both focus the Fury. You'll want to enable "Click to Move" for both characters; this is in Interface Options - Mouse Options. Similarly, set a key for "Interact With Target"; you'll find this in Keybindings, under Targeting Functions. Your attacks can be single abilities or castsequences. The basic looks will be: #show /assist [Target=Focus] /Cast AbilityName #show /assist [Target=Focus] /Castsequence reset=combat AbiiltyOne, AbilityTwo, AbilityThree The Ret Pally can heal, with Divine Storm but that is on the same cooldown as Crusader Strike, which is one of your main offense abilities. You can probably get by with two heal keys, whatever the fast heal is for the Pally. Have two more keybinds: #show /cast [Target=Fury'sName] HealSpell #show /cast [Target=Player] HealSpell (Player refers to yourself, the Ret could go Target=Ret'sName too). Follow will be: /Follow [Target=Focus] You can put Food/Water on the same keybind for both characters, although the Fury Warrior won't need Water for mana. Similarly, you can do first aid on both. And put bandages on the same keybind for each. #show /use [Target=Player] NameofBandage That should get you started. *Edit* Forgot to mention Click to Move + Interact With Target. If you push your IWT Keybind, while targeting a hostile... your character will move to where the hostile was, when you pushed the key. Against mobs, this works better if you don't spam the IWT, as that can cause toons to run off when the mob dies (in that case, hit follow quickly or IWT on another target). If the mob moves, press your IWT again and the characters will move to the new position. Last edited by Ualaa; 11-27-2010 at 12:47 PM. |
