There are other configurations possible with other classes, but if you're considering the Dark Side this is a good way to go because the Bounty Hunter starts on the same planet.

I got all this information from another forum though, I'm not really testing the game myself. I believe the information about the mercenaries and powertech (bounty hunter) is free knowledge and not against the non-disclosure agreement because it is posted on another message forum.
Just reading through this thread and saw this. I think the better combo would be Sith Juggernaut, and 3x Sith Sorcerer. Again, they all start in the same area, the juggernaut is an awesome tank and the sorc kicks ass at dps and heals... it'd be the way to go, but I can also see the benefits of powertech/4xmerc.

follow is buggy atm and there is no ingame macro system so it makes things hard

The follow-command should have been fixed with patch 1.1. However, not sure if multiboxing is allowed (at least supported by 3rd party software).

Its allowed, unless they changed their take on it in the last 1,5 month.

With or without an official reply, dozens of active forum members are boxing the game and none of them have reported any issues as a result of boxing.
