I'd think either the full RAF benefits or do a contest without RAF at all.

The last toon in a chain has to earn all the experience.
Granting a level would only apply to toons on accounts which referred the last toon.
So if your setup was: A > B > C > D, who cares if D gives C a level... the contest would be to get the last member of the team to 85th.

Boosting will naturally finish a lot quicker than non-boosting.
Whether you go with RAF or without RAF.

If you're on a brand new server, where no one has any toons that are maximum...
Chances are quest stacking will be the fastest route, as dungeon finder will require you to constantly wait for lower level toons to catch up... and most of the people who race to level will be severely undergeared for all instances.

I think RAF would be the way to go, since it adds a lot of hype and "zomg" affect. Plus, having it all on video, the entire unedited process, as proof, plus as potentially a fun big long youtube series, would also be pretty epic.

So what if...

It had to be 3 toons to 5 toons
No power leveling by a friend
Must be RAF
Must be pure video w/tons of /played shown

I'd be up for it... but I may need another HDD to fit those recordings on :P

Speaking of which, the only program I've really ever used is fraps, and the footage you get from that is (in size) massive. Is there any way to actively compress it, or another program that encodes the video in a bit of a better format for storage?

Basically I'm asking, i need something that records to smaller files.

Oh no, you do not need to record everything, lets say :

Frap only when you're about to level let's say: level 10, frapped, /timeplayed
level 40, frapped, /timeplayed
level 60, frapped, /timeplayed
level 80, frapped, /timeplayed
level 85, frapped, /timeplayed
