Default Multiboxing Help post on CS Site

Guys! Whoever posted this I thank the GM who deleted it.

Quote:
Pwnboxer does not perform this automation and was written specifically to abide by the rules. It is also likely the most used software to multibox in WoW, possibly more than all combined. To give you some perspective, the author of Pwnboxer was also the CEO of Wowhead.

IS Boxer appears to perform this automation (it allows 2 actions per 1 keystroke) so it would appear to violate the rules as the Blizzard rep above has just explained it, and such violation could probably get you banned (according to the EULA/TOS, violating the rules can result in account termination). To give you some perspective, the author of IS Boxer is tied to botting software and gold farming.
Its utterly despicable!!! AGAIN IS BOXER DOES NOT AUTOMATE PLAY OF WORLD OF WARCRAFT OR ANY GAME!

Both software's are legal and if it was the case it wasn't then a software would be banned and thus many of us who use IS Boxer would be banned! This is childish these types of attacks on another peice of software where its obviously LIES!

Hey Drar,

What is the quote you mentioned in reference to / where is it from? Also, what are the lies that you mention being obvious?

Not to be rude or anything, but why rant here, why not just message/ask/email/pm whomever you've quoted? I prefer to avoid drama vs bringing it here to the site. Know what I mean?

Multiboxing Question - Help! - Forums - World of Warcraft

Cause I don't know who posted it and it was deleted from the customer service blzzard forums.*

Also I don't think I'm ranting, it's just frustrating seeing posts like this when were all here to do the same thing, play more than one character in various games that allow it. There's just some hate history that goes years back and I think it's time to get over it. And until then when I see a post like this or someone says something, I will counter it with the truth. Not to start an argument, just to thwart ignorance.*

I'm on my phone right now I couldn't reply when I wanted to.*

And yes tim I kno you were streaming and it's just assumptions that it was you. The GM deleted the post, don't think anyone called them Persay, I'm sure bliz blues watch for these kinds of posts regularly.

Tbh Drar, the fact someone dragged the 2 softwares into that discussion makes no sense at all, GM was right removing it even without it being name and shame, but beyond the word automation, all of it is correct >< Yes it wouldve been better if whoever posted that used a different word there, but ISboxer does allow this, it can get you banned, and ISboxer is a multiboxing product that was developed on top of an engine that was used for botting software. they arent going to lose that image anytime soon.
Pwnboxer is first and foremost created around the WoW TOS/EULA.

Thats all fine with me.. but thats something that part of the multiboxers should just accept. They payed for ISboxer, which uses some parts of the software they made that lets you bot, sure ISboxer itself isnt meant for it, and between all this stupidity everyone is thowing into the discussion at the other forum, the message is they will look into it to make sure nobody gets banned without knowing this. That is usefull, trying to blame the truth (the fact theres a function in ISboxer that can get you banned for) on pwnboxer or tim isnt going to help any of their users is it?

Instead of people (and ive seen the thread over there.. there is so much crap on there about this post..) raging about it, people should try to CHANGE the image, in a valid way.. trying to make pwnboxer look bad just to get a better image is not going to happen.. people look straight through that..

Edit:
Also, feel like specificly stating this:
In no way i mean you are doing anything wrong, you obviously have the same reason for posting this as i do, but i honestly think that getting angry over at on this forum isnt going to get anyone anything. Considering im a developer now i would love if everyone would use pwnboxer instead, but everyone uses whatever they please, all we can do is make it the best program we can and show people that.
I think comparing the two is relevant and can only make BOTH better, but bashing the other isn't going to help anyone. Users of both software should try to understand that.

I know it's been said over and over, but the platform that isboxer runs on is only just that, a platform. It only sends the commands that isboxer sets up to multibox wow, and the botting program that used inner space to bot was completely separate from isboxer.

That being said, there are no features in isboxer that break the rules of what wow has set, or the rules of any other game that allows multiboxig. I seem to recall that using a third party program used to multibox was against the TOS and EULA back in the day till they determined that t wasn't botting and allowed it.

Well, the problem that arised today/yesterday was that there is an feature in Isboxer that is out of the TOS/EULA. But honestly, since ISboxer is obviously not aimed only towards usage in WoW that doesnt even have to be an issue.

But thats not even imporant.
Anyway, not much use discussing this with you :P We obviously agree (beyond some minor points hehe), i just hope people will drop this whole point and blame thing and just respect the differences... like thats ever going to happen though xD

Yeah I'd rather see the two communities get along, but as it seems there are some of us who do cross the communities, so it's a start

I've said it before, my door is always open. Maybe what we need is for somebody to calm down the people at DB, get them to put out their fires, set down their pitch forks and get us all together in a room to chat and make sense of all this mess.

Meh, you live long enough, you learn that people won't always get along. Besides, a bit of competition can be healthy. As long as someone is busting his ass to write software that makes my experience more enjoyable, I will be content with that.

Look at it this way, each person you don't get along with is an additional Christmas card you won't have to buy this year. Can you smell the savings?
