| I'd love to do another Multiboxing.com contest to spur up the community. The problem is I'm always having a hard time trying to figure out some ideas to make it happen. Any thoughts on what the contest could be? What if we had everybody create characters and join a specific server, and then do something? Thoughts or ideas? I'd probably toss in a little prize of some sort as well |

| Take a screenshot of a specific location, apply fog of war to most of it, and let people find out what it represents/where it was taken. as weeks/days go past, unveil a bit more of it. First to post the correct answer wins :-) edited posts to be discarded, and as many answers as wanted allowed. or something |

| How about a scavenger hunt? Deploy 5 characters in 5 different zones, each with several copies of a unique, tradable item and a clue to the location of the next character/item (first clue is sent by mail). Whomever gathers all 5 items first wins. To deal with characters being on different servers, you can place all characters in a starting zone and have contestants roll new toons. A variation of this might be to to collect 5 rare items located throughout the world. The first person to gather all the items on the list would inform Tim (or a moderator), and present the items to an 'official' in a capital city. This would require Officials to be present on both EU and US servers.

| I like the idea of hiding people and giving them clues, interesting idea. I'd would want to stream the contest live as well but am not sure how exciting that would be to hang around and not do much till somebody shows up. Speaking of streaming it live, it would have to be a US server contest (maybe I could do a EU one as well if I somehow had a EU acct). Your idea gave me an idea! How about a level 1 combat contest?
If a lot of people participate I can probably come up with a bunch of prizes like free WoW (I have a lot of unopened boxes still) for people to get started multiboxing, maybe have a grand prize of a Solid State Drive (SSD). A big key here would be getting the word out about the contest, so I think I'd need a lot of people to help post on forums, write emails to news websites (like wow, curse, etc), submit community stories to Blizzard's email, tell their guild, etc. Also if participation went well and somebody hooked me up with an EU account (trial would work?) then I'd love to do this for EU realms as well. Thoughts? EDIT #1: Just removed multiboxer vs multiboxer dueling. Obviously dueling doesn't work like that, and we we would have to hold this in a non-PVP area due to outside disruptions. So 1v1 matches only. However, any ideas how we can put a multiboxing spin on it? Maybe the multiboxers can show up to protect people who are flagged? |
