I set up ventrilo before, cant imagine mumble being much harder. The biggest problem with it is the ports lol :P setups, usually anyway, are install, open config file.. change some things (max nr of people, admin pass, that stuff), then good to go

So I was thinking, lets say I had a 1000 slot server, I think the difficulty would be who would moderate it, make sure people don't spam it, abuse it, setting up rooms for people, etc. That is the hard part I can't seem to figure a way around

Well xD I guess its a matter of setting up a few mods.. Then probably like it works with this forum, set up a report page, and make the mods get emailed based on the user settings that are stored, like email. Email the mods?

If that doesnt get a spam fest ofcourse.

That report part should be a page that just is made on the multiboxing.com site tho :P

As Cham said, you would just need to find people to moderate it. I think kicking/banning is fairly easy, if it is required. A forum for reporting should be enough.
