Default Mages, Locks, Or Druids? Confused.

I Really enjoy 5x mages atm: As any multiboxer, they are thinking about new team left and right. As everone know i have 5x ele shamans, I love 'em. I want another team for pvp and same class of 5s.

5x mages, Arcane does alot of damage (i can freeze the target in place and blink turn around and blast, Spell steal, make cakes, awesome for teleportation, slow fall, mirror image, yada yada.

5x druids balance, run around, star fire, sneak up, (even i could use them for PVE, tank, heal / 3 dps, range and feral) -new expension druids are getting another tree, most flexible class in the game.

5 locks? Im not sure about this team, I do have 2 85 locks in pvp gear, 5x Felhunters would do alot of damage but on single target, fear is nice in affliction spec.

maybe 5x DK's? i have fun with my blood dk with i391. But death strike will get nerfed for sure.

whats your input? which class from above would be nice for pvp? As i always tell everyone best way is to start your own team and try it out. I did answer the question right here, but i would like to see your replay about any team you boxed, or boxing atm and have fun with it.

I can also mix match my 85 mages whe i level with my shamans

I do have druid at 82 and priest at 80.

This would be a nice combo for sure, as we know any mele with pocket healer is nice.

Whichever you prefer healing on. I think that resto druids are pretty weak in pvp right now. With a priest you would also have mass dispel - good for taking care of snare/root.

I voted 5x Druids, because they're a very fun composition and have the most options of the 5x Same_Class choices you have listed.
Boomkin has been very fun in the past, but the Eclipse mechanics kind of suck at the moment.
Feral is not as strong as a set of DK's, because they don't have much AoE... but its quite fun; you can destroy single targets extremely fast, stealth to wherever and bypass crap that other teams cannot...
Resto was different... frustrating in that you almost need others about until your gear level is higher, but you're extremely hard to kill with 5 resto's and you can use Tree Form + Wrath spam every 3 minutes, plus place 10x dots on lots of people.

If you have any interest in PvE with the same team...
Druids can be both strong healers and tanks, and can DPS as either melee or ranged.



I agree with EaTCarbS, a healer with four Death Knights will be a stronger combination than just about anything else.
Really this has been the case, for all of WotLK and Cataclysm...

If you have any interest in running arenas, then your choices are Priest or Paladin; Priest would be Holy, for Spirit of Redemption after dying.

For battleground play, any of them would work as they all have advantages.
Shaman has Tremor totems, which is an extra raid-wide fear break.
Paladins are in Plate, bring Blessing of Might or Kings (Same as Mark of the Wild) and Crusader Aura... they probably have the highest single target healing... they also have resistance auras (or Concentration Aura).
Druids can stealth, taking away the option to open on the healer; they have a lot of instant casts and are extremely mobile healers.
Priests will either run Disc and mitigate a lot of damage or Holy and heal large amounts, essentially equaling each other; Fortitude is quite nice.

Thanks Ualaa, good info there, I also know that arcane mage can be strong and hit hard, but at the same time i thought about dying, if you die , you cant res, and you have to run back. you cant heal. as much druids can, evocation is nice, but still, I have mages at level 41 now and my druids are I belive 32 ATM, I know would be fun to play, /caster/tank/mele/heals, all in one. What-ever you wanna be, i'm going to check how balance is doing in 4.3 as far dps, also i know BLIZZARD never really play with specs for nerfs for druids as any other classes, usually they dont touch them that much.

I'm 100% sure i'm going to roll balance, I have 4x druids atm, and 1 druid is waiting at level 82.

I think balance is quite strong lower levels, but endgame they are a bit meh atm. Our balance druid actually switched to feral to at least be competitive xD Guess there aint as many multidotting fights as there were in FL :P

Balance will level similar to any other caster spec.
You'll likely either Wrath x5, and something else, on Starfire x5 which will drop the mob on the one "volley".



Feral was insanely fast leveling, because your resource is energy.
And 5x Mangles, auto kills anything that is not elite, so you never get to a point where your energy has been depleted.
Plus any critical hit (subject to a very short cooldown), both restores health and mana.

In the course of normal leveling, the Ferals basically never needed healing.
This was questing, and not instances or pvp.

They were always full mana, because kitties are very good at getting critical hits.
Plus being a cat is 100% of your time, regenerating mana too.

My macro was very simple.
It is/was an FTL assist, but you could insert the assist of your choice.

Given a 30% crit rate (which is fairly low for a kitty), four moves gives you just over a 76% chance to crit at least once.
Any move that lands is a combo point, and with talents every crit is two combo points.
So after four moves, if you're facing an elite, you usually have five combo points for the finisher.
There is a talent where you have a 20% chance per combo point... to have your next Nature spell be instant cast; given a 24% chance of four combo points (which is an 80% chance to have an instant cast) or a 100% chance to have an instant cast... I did the math, you have better than a 97% chance each Druid has an instant cast.

If you combine that with a Repeater Region and use Healing Touch as one bind and Rebirth as the other...

Let's just say my 5x Feral Druids had only one problem with Quest Elites beyond their level (the pulsing Fire guy in Hyjal was too much for them); every other quest mob was killable without the special item to make the mob weaker, even if the mob was 1-2 levels above their level.
That is something my 4x Frost DK's, with a Paladin healer cannot say... they died on 5 or 6 mobs, during the leveling process... mobs which the Feral team had no issues with.

You'll need an IWT command and CTM enabled, if you want to try Feral.

I'd go 5x Druids, so you could LFD Heroics. Plus they are omg fun.

I really would love to see a video of 5x kitty PVP.

Tim: yep, i would make them probably all balance for pvp, but get instaQ for dungeon would be nice.

for pve:
3x balance
1 tank
1 heals
