Default Macro stop command

hi guys,

I have just recently bought a Logitech G19 keyboard, which is awesome, the on the fly macro is really cool, especially as it records time delay between button presses too, any way i have a few macros set up for my LOTRO (ok you can stop laughing now) but i was just wondering if anyone could advise me as to how-to make a macro thats stops a macro in mid process,

some mobs die in less hits than needed, and as a result the macro command keeps pn playing out, i wish to be able to stop this on the fly and maybe even engage another macro instead.

any help would be greatly appreciated, I have searched the forums before posting and I see one gentleman says its a must to have this command, but alas he does not say how-to make such a macro

thanks again for taking the time to read my post and i look forward to reading you comments, and hopefully solutions to this problem.

I believe the code is

Code:
/stopmacro
Might need to throw in a [noharm] if the above doesn't work

Ah my bad, I didn't read your first post close enough. You were talking about LOTRO, not WoW. My bad >.<

Let me read up on the LOTRO macro system and i'll get back to you

EDIT:

It seems like LOTRO doesn't have an extensive macro system like WoW does. You might be stuck i'm afraid, I couldn't really find anything helpful =\

Be sure to check the Terms of Service for LotRO, if they have such an agreement. It might be just like WoW, that they don't allow for time delays to be recorded between button presses in programmable keyboards.

QFT... if you do this in WoW they will ban your account.

The rule of thumb for would is 1 keypress = 1 action.

NOT 1 keypress = executes a G19 keyboard macro = multiple actions in game.

LOTRO may have a similar rule, tread carefully!

If you have a macro with timed delays (bad idea), but want to use it anyway.
Going from M1 to M2 to M3 (the switch from one macro bank to another) interrupts any macros currently running.

i am confused as to how it could be thought as botting, i am at the pc, running around with full control over my char, WASD and mouse control, i tab a mob with backspace, and press the macro, so instead of the tedious 1 2 3 4 1 repetition, it does it for me , then i WASD to the mob, loot it as normal and proceed on my merry way. I am at all times in control of my avatar, and am not suggesting he auto finds mobs or anything , thats why the G19 dont allow loop commands, for this reason alone,

reading through the forums, here and on LOTRO i have seen people set up macros for say mining ore, when riding. one button press dismounts, runs to ore, mines it and gets back on horse, It does not however, make the horse move to the next ore, so its not bott farming, its just a way of playing one handed an eating drinking etc.

as for a GM watching me , there would be nothing to watch regarding my movement, as its not bott like, it cant be bott like, its me sat here moving my avatar. Its jsut when i come to pwn the mob, i press the macro, so it does 1 2 3 4 for me. i am at all times in full control.

i saw a guy the other week, farming (as in planting crops and harvesting) he was definately botting, his avatar moved jerkely, side to side, then forward one, moved again then planted, harvested, and moved the exact same way again. That was botting, coz i knew he was not in control of his avatar. and he was on a loop.

thanks for the input guys,
