Post Looting for slaves

If I want or need my slaves to loot, do I assign a Interact with Target for all my slaves or just one at a time? On collecting quests, do I have to literally go around for all my toons -- master and slaves to complete manually or by keybind.

Just bind "interact with target" to something fancy and learn to press that button like crazy!

I avoid collection quests that aren't 100% drop (like if I kill a mob and it doesn't have the item for all my toons, I ignore that quest).

That said, you could bind it to something separate for each. I personally would just turn on autoloot for the toons and then double right-click in each window individually to have them loot (one click to give focus to the window, 2nd click to actually loot - assuming you're clicking on the corpse).

I just target the mob with my master and press the almighty interact with target button and all slaves loot ...

I think the issue is on collection quests that aren't 100% drop rate. If a toon already has the amount required and is the first to open a corpse, then that item won't ever be created on that corpse. You would have to have one of the toons that doesn't have all the required items loot the corpse first.

Perhaps someone can confirm that, but that's why I switched to manually looting with my toons.

as far as im aware this is correct, ive always just took it in turns with 1 as leader when it comes to those quests, after 1 has it then i would switch to the next, but ive only had a max of 3 characters, so may be a little more tricky with 5 xD

I can confirm that this is INCORRECT. I did the arcane silver quest in the Befl starting area last night, for the 9000th time. With FFA on, looting with IWT bound to ~, if toon2 reached the mob first (looted the trash and DID NOT need the quest item) toon3 was still able to pick up the quest item.

This might be quest/item specific or my RNG really sucks. The Tauren starter quests (kill those big chickens and get feathers/meat) were a pain in the arse until I started using manual looting priority. Spamming IwT just wasn't working for me.

I can tell you that it is NOT so.
Not an opinion btw, fact.
