Just got myself the logitech G19 and whilst going through macro settings im looking at the macro record button. Basically this will record key presses..say i hit the macro record button and press 123 it will put that into into one of the macro buttons on the left. So now if i press that macro button it will press 123 in one press. Blizzard say they only allow one key press one spell. So im just curious if anyone else has this keyboard or any that has macro record and uses it for wow.

If you use a logitech macro to do that, then when you go through the sequence of pressing one key on your keyboard, the output to WoW is multiple keystrokes, and this violates Blizzard's rule of 1 keystroke = 1 keystroke to WoW. So yea, avoid anything that violates the above rule or you will be banned, this includes windows macro software, keyboard software, multiboxing software, anything that can make 1 keystroke be more than 1 keystroke (macro).

Well you can use the buttons, but you are only allowed to use them to perform 1 keystroke. So for example, I own a G11 keyboard. So I turn the programmable buttons on the left to things like ALT+SHIFT+5, ALT+SHIFT+6, etc. So then when I press the G1 button, it is more simple than pressing the key combination such as CTRL+F11 and such. So basically: Good: Keystroke or macro that simply does ALT+SHIFT+CTRL+0 Bad: Macro that presses 5, then 6, then asdf

That is the beauty behind the G Logitech keyboards, they ROCK for multiboxing. I have a pretty good setup for my multiboxing team, I'll show you on JTV when I stream today if you are on.

I use the G-Keys, for Interact With Target, Enable/Disable IWT for melee characters (built into my DPS keys), Group Invite, Switch to Slot 1-5, etc.
