I thought it would be a good idea if we did a live stream and we could all exchange ideas. This would be specifically to go over macros, ui, strategies etc.

I'd be especially interested in listening in as you went over your UI and any customizations not readily apparent. You many need to invite Pooksie to the stream.

A stickied post linking to a stream dedicated to explaining the UI would help a lot of people.

Ahh so more about how to set up a UI? Yea, I'm not the one for that. Pooksie is taking a break too, so I think we might need somebody else.

However, what if we got somebody to help me build my UI into something even better, and we created a video with that, explaining how to do a UI, where to get mods, how to make changes, etc?

What I had in mind was every person maybe doing a login, explain UI, explain their macros in detail, and then go do PVP or challenging PVE and explain what they are doing step by step.

So king of like a biography on how you play as a multiboxer. You can explain what you do when you login etc. In addition to information you can make it kind of like a documentary and make jokes and whatnot too. I think it would be fun to watch even if you weren't trying to learn anything.

I would need some help streaming a video though.

Kidding.

An over-the-shoulder video of a 5x setup would be great. One alternative in the meantime would be to simply list the addons Tim uses and we could take it from there. That would answer a lot of questions and allow for specific questions to make it easier for Tim and Pooksie to respond ad hoc.


What would be the best way to organize the take-away information this would generate for future boxers? I'd like to see a Pro-Tip thread organized by category or function: Click-to-Move, Follow, Formation, CC, each with a sticky of the best solution for quick reference. I'm too old to read multi-page threads of random tips for that one tip I'm looking for.

Have a new section in forums called setup. Have a sticky for each thing in detail with pictures. Lots of test is boring and very intimidating especially when it comes to macros etc. Pictures and links to videos using it would be best. It would probably also make it more exciting for new users and attract more people than pages of just random text.

Ex: basic UI thread explaining the vital addons needed and some fun ones with pictures and briefly explaining setup.

Following, breaking follow, movement etc. Pictures of formation or whatever and videos showing someone actually do it.

What do you guys think? This would be in addition to the full walkthrough on video.

I think this would be a great idea if there was somebody to sort of co-host it and explain a lot about building a UI for multiboxing.

I could explain the initial setup of multiboxing, the macros needed, common situations you will run into inside the game (how to dps, how to heal), and then the other person could help me set up a new UI for multiboxers.

Then at the end we could take the UI and zip it up, and turn the whole video into a tutorial for intro into multiboxing w/a multiboxing UI to download.
