Talking Jelous Player

I won't post his name here, but a player on US-Argent Dawn RP server, saw my toons in Thrallmar, my Team Tesla (1 Prot Pally, 3 Ele Shammies, and 1 Resto Shammy) and said to me in "Say" "Reported" I sent this person a whisper saying, that its in no way in violation to the EULA and he can try, but he should instead google multiboxing to find out the rules before assuming its against the rules. He instead put me on ignore so I whispered him on another toon linking to him this thread

Blue poster Belfaire explains Blizzard's stance on multiboxing

And of course googling "wow multiboxing legal" i came up with many such sites that all link to blizzards own "blue" posts stating their stance on it being legal so long as no automation software is taking place, which as we all know, pwnboxer does not, ISBoxer doesn't either, and many others out there that are available. He instead ignored that toon as well, so I later posted a ticket asking a GM to officially get their response just for ****s and giggles. I was reassured this morning as I checked my account and saw the GM response message saying that dispite the complaints they get, they will go as far as look into the matter and just investigate that there is no automation, but he said I can breathe easy as I can play as many characters as I want, so long as I control them manually and there is no botting taking place. I took a screen of it but left it at home, so later I will post it just cause I feel satisfied that I was responded to so soon after posting a ticket. I want to send the player a link to this forum so he can be reassured that multiboxers like us are just regular players like him, only difference we care to pay more for the game

not to completely burst the bubble, but if he puts you on ignore, you probably shouldn't use another character to circumvent his ignore. If he wants to act like a fool just let him and move on.

To be honest, I've dealt with these people probably a 1000 times, literally, and it all appears to stem from the same basic concept: Jealousy. They see something that is powerful and they are jealous.

So next time you get a PM like that, tell then "Reported for reporting" LOL

Lol yeah I probably pissed him off more by whispering him on another toon, but all well, something to think of next time. This isn't the first time either, there's been others, just that this time I bothered to get a blizz response myself, and this is what I got

As long as you cover your ass, you're good.

Don't give them any legitimate reason to report you. Watch your language, and such. And really, anytime they give you that much attention they're really flattering you by acknowledging what you're doing. I love it when someone takes the time to make characters on my server to send me a tell.

lol yeah.

In the past I've been just ignoring it, not even acknowledging them with any response, but this time I did try to at least explain to them that I don't use bots witch is the only Illegal way to play any amount of players, and the link post and it was after that he ignored me, so I wasn't saying **** to him that would be legitimate, bliz would get the complaint, look at my account, and know that Im not breaking the rules and drop the case :P its stuff like that that makes me smile LOL

But yeah, shortly after that I was admired by another player, and we chatted a little and I offered to run her through a random and I'd drop one of my toons, which she appreciated but didnt have the time. So yeah theres the other side too our there who praise! Its thanks to the player Ace who got my attention on multiboxing so who knows, seeing multiboxing will encourage more boxers to form out there. There's even a few in my guild who have more than one account just to take advantage of having a mage for portals on each account for each of thier toons :P All forms of "boxers" out there!

Another option is to make a macro that does this:

Code:
/r Your mom says what?
and every time somebody PMs you some smack, just click that macro.
