Ualaa,

Mmmm... NW cherries are proof there is a higher power. Living just down the coast from you - in Oregon - I get to have OR cherries straight from the farmers in summer. THE BEST!!

As for the Coumadin, be super careful with that stuff (although you already obviously know). Coumadin is one of those drugs where the difference between beneficial effect and death is very small. :/

To add to my original post, I am also involved in a couple of programming projects. I am the lead QA tester for a game my roommate and a couple other people are making for the XNA Creators Club (allows people to publish games on the Xbox 360). I also might be involved in creating a sophisticated program for training medical residents (because what they use now is just not good enough.)

I also do miscellaneous programming on the side in Objective-C, C++, C#, Java, SQL, HTML, XML, lua, Javascript and Visual Basic

I was an Opto-Mechanical Technician, until a little over 6 months ago, now unemployed. I refused to take a trip to China to teach their Chinese employees my job after the company added insult to injury by reducing the pay for the trip. Now just playing WoW, looking for another job and seriously thinking of moving to Australia.

Last week my downstairs neighbor set the building on fire, looks like an accident but she wasn't mentally stable so hard to tell. Now all my stuff is in my old apartment, except for my laptop which doesn't run WoW well, and I can't get to it because of asbestos contamination, no fire or smoke damage luckily. No idea when I will get my stuff back, apartment management is dragging their feet.

At least the manager of the clean up company said it didn't look that bad in my apartment and she felt they could save over 90% of my stuff. All the electronics etc. but may loose some cloth items.

I work in land development for the City of Dallas for about the next 5 months when I will become a bum. May 2010 is my retirement objective for now. Travel, sit around and collect a paycheck ohhh yeah money for nothin and chicks for free (well at least my wife is). Plan to obsess on WOW for a while and get back into woodworking and working out at the gym. Lose 80 pound to get down to my trim weight of 220. Det on teh porch and become that old geezer who yells at the neighbor kids.

We usually start of with California cherries, and basically really early fruit which isn't that good.

Once we get into the Washington cherries, along with the California fruit being ripe, that is the best point in the season.

Towards the end, we sell the British Columbia cherries, and the Washington fruit.

Not a whole lot of difference between California and Washington fruit, when both are in season, but the Washington cherries are the by far the best of those we sell. It is ironic, just about everyone in Calgary wants to know why we don't have BC cherries, at least until they're in season, yet the Washington cherries are far and away a much better product; the best US fruit is exported, just as the best BC fruit is exported.

Most people ask for the Bings, and they are a good cherry. And the chinese/japanese go crazy for the Ranier Cherries (Queen Anne's on the east coast, or Napolean's in Europe), as they are yellow/orange and incredibly sweet. We probably sell more Vans then anything else, but my favorite are the Lapins, they have the best flavor, are always crisp and are the largest.

Ever heard of people being allergic to cherries? I ask because I haven't eaten one since I was about 13 years old. When I was a kid, my parents/brothers used to think I was lying, that I wasn't allergic. But ever time I bit down on a cherry I would immediately throw up. Even if they snuck one into my ice cream, the second I bit down, I'd vomit
