|  Internet Connection (help) Ok I checked earlier on my computer (the one im getting rid of in a week) and my internet broadband connection was .37/.40 mbps This is considerably low and I was wondering what I should do about it. I dont know If my ISP (Charter) is throttling my connection or if my computer is dying an HDD related death. To put it in perspective, My wow latency was a color i had never seen before, and it took more than five minutes to open up the site. I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!! QQ

If it yields the same results, then it most likely is your internet. I know earlier this week I was getting odd connection speeds (about 2-3 Megs, some as low as .5 when I should be getting ~30)

I find it strange that you are getting slow speeds, as Charter is the ISP at the college I go to. Here's what I'm getting right now   So depending on the area you are in, you might be experiencing a temporary slowdown or are being throttled. I never really had that sort of issue with Comcas- erm Comfail when I'm at home. Did you try speedtest.net on a different computer?

If not, well, back in the day I unplugged my cable modem, stuck a fork into it until I heard pieces floating around, then called for a replacement saying it was broke  |
