When I voted warlock I was thinking of it purely from a viewer prospective. I'd much rather watch a warlock leveling than a hunter or mage.

In my opinion, shammy or priest would be the best way to go. It means that if you CBF questing (which most people end up doing), you can grab some instance quests and queue up, get in really quick and hammer through the instance.

I personally love priests, so that's what i'm leaning towards. Also, have you seen shadow priests at higher levels atm? They're freaking insane man!!!

Then again, demo warlocks are rediculously good... but you've only just recently done a warlock team, would get a bit repetitive yea?

Lastly...

I'd make the account now, while the special deals are on! I mean, holy hell... Vanilla = $5, BC = $5 and WotLK = $10... plus cata = $40.... means the total is only going to be $60!

Thanks for the input, now I'm thinking of going down the Warlock route. I'm thinking Warlock or Hunter or possibly Mage.

Does anybody know if there is anything stopping me from doing a server transfer from a PVE server to PVP Blackrock, as a goblin, lets say 2 weeks after Cataclysm starts?

Shouldn't be anything stopping a transfer.
Now that you can PvE > PvP.

Blackrock won't likely have restrictions on receiving characters.
As it is an established server.
I could see restrictions on transfers to a brand new server, but that is about it.
Even when a server is "full", you can transfer to it, if you already have a toon there.

Uh oh, since this is a new account, will I have an issue transferring there? Or would I need to create a toon there first, a trash one, to transfer to Blackrock?

Right now I'm leaning towards a Hunter, but a warlock could definitely help AOE level a team, however, my first 5man leveling team I might want to do the old fashion way to experience all the fun.

mage all the way, awesome class for boosting a team, portals, food, water etc. its what i used all the time to boost chars.

I've never really played a mage. I did one for a few levels to make some videos a couple years ago, but other than that, zippo.

So I really have been outta it a bit, what is all this talk I hear about portals going away and how you NEED a mage now?

Dalaran Portals to Shattrath, Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, Silvermoon, and The Undercity removed in 4.0.3 which means if you want to go from Northrend to Kalmidor or Eastern Kingdoms (or vice versa) , you will need either a mage portal or travel to Borean Tundra/Howling Fjord to use the boats/zepplins). Dec. 7 when Cataclysm comes out you will be able to purchase Azerothian Flight which will allow you to fly all over Azeroth once you are 60+. They wanted to put the "WORLD" back into Warcraft.

Also the Portals from Shattrath were also removed, however the portals to Outlands are still in every major city.
