| Senior Member | I'm thinking of starting a new team, after a long break from multiboxing i've decided to give it another go. This time i'm thinking of giving Spriests a go. I would like to be able to do paladins, but australian latency makes melee multiboxing near-impossible. As i've been playing through my rogue, i've been getting constantly RAPED by shadow priests, they are nasty! I'm going to avoid doing a 5 man team this time, so i can play with the missus as well. So i'm thinking a 3-man Spriest team (trying to keep all the same class), it's going to be a lot like tim's 3 warlocks with all the dots etc, but i'll have heals too (no pet though! D=). How would you guys rate a 3 spriest team? I've got 3 weeks off work, getting married (yay! ) and will probably start my team during that time, any comments?

| Three of the same, should give you pretty decent burst against single targets. At the same time, you're only 30% of a WSG (which is the smallest current battleground), which is a bonus in the smaller BG's. Quite a few go with four toons for PvP, and three is still quite decent. You can currently Dispel Magic, even if you don't have an effect which needs to be dispelled. And you heal a little bit on each Dispel Magic. You will also have the Vampiric type effects, for a percentage of your damage going to healing. The team can dual spec, probably into Disc for the PvP survivability, should you choose to have a secondary spec for a change of pace. I really like my 5x Disc team, but the dark side is rather tempting too. You have 3x instant cast, AoE fear, which can be used against groups. Depending how quick you are at clicking Mass Dispel, you have decent protection against Fear effects too; go with Fear Ward (possibly Glyphed) on round-robin, targeting your leader toon, and Mass Dispel any fear effect off of your slave toons. Can also trinket out of Fear. About the only serious weakness of the team, is that you go through mana quite quickly. Well, chances are there are strengths and weaknesses I've not thought of, but based off of the pre 4.0.1 changes, that is how I would assess the team. If you want to try it, go for it and see how it plays out. |
