If you were handed $50k to build the absolute dream gaming system, what would you put in it? I'm considering doing a fun project and am looking to see what type of budget is needed, and potentially what type of sponsors I could get to cover it. Note: The system must be at or near at the fastest gaming PC in the world. Note: The system must look extremely sexy. Note: The system must have a custom built case. Note: The system is one to be built, not bought from another site. Ideas?

I'd go more then 6GB of ram, in a system with a $50,000 budget. Even though they're overpriced, take a look at Falcon Northwest or Alienware's top systems with all the bells and whistles. That gets you a good idea of what you can throw into your own system, if you want the best.

Another note: It *HAS* to be a system that is built from scratch, no using any other website to build the system.

Could try going with a 160GB Intel X-25M SSD, possibly 2 or 4 of these in Raid0. Might want a hardware raid controller if you go with four. Even if you end up building it yourself, it doesn't hurt to see what the producers of top-end systems are putting into their builds. 50k is overkill.
