| Hey guys, What if we created a page on the site (an actual page, not a forum post), that truly is neutral and lists all multiboxable softwares, with pros/cons and a general history. I've been wanting to do this for a while but the area I struggle with is how to truly do a proper review. I would like to capture everything about each software yet in a short summary, including the prettys and the uglys. Any suggestions for how this could best be done from as neutral as possible perspective? |

| This would be incredible! I think contacting the software authors for a description of their program is a good idea. |

| Nice Job. Always better to take the high road! Maybe you could set up seperate discussions for each software package?

| I have personal experience with Keyclone and IS Boxer, however the authors (for those which are still maintained) will probably be better at mentioning what their program offers then the users in many cases. A page which can be linked from either the main page or the forum would be a good idea. Probably include a link to the authors site, a screen shot or two of the interface or configuration screen, and a list of the features. Possibly have user comments, or link to a sub-forum to discuss other software options. |

![]() Instead, I'd like to see what people who use the software think are pros/cons of each software, and a history, versus hearing each software author give a glorified review. I have a few ideas to get this done, and will be posting it shortly. | |

| I like the idea of a user review of each software. Perhaps, if a user can list the features they regularly use. Ratings are good, to a degree. But really require that someone has used every software that they rate/review for it to be objective. I mean, I can rate Mouse Broadcasting: IS Boxer (10). ---- You can enable mouse repeater, to accurately click portals or set any UI configuration options on all screens at once, select talents on multiple toons at once etc. ---- You can set broadcasting to turn on, when a given spell is cast, and to automatically turn off as soon as the spell is cast. You can choose which toons receive the broadcasting, so the rogue doesn't receive a click when your mage Blizzards and the warlock does Shadowfury. ---- You can configure mouse broadcasting to turn on, when your mouse is in specific regions of the screen, which clients the clicks (left/right/middle/side buttons) or scroll wheel goes to etc. ---- You can configure ClickBars, which are buttons which run mapped keys, and change color depending on the state of a mapped key. ---- You can create ClickBoxer frames, or clickable buttons which function the same as pressing a keybind in each window. Keyclone (3) ---- You can set a hotkey, which when pushed will have your mouse click broadcast in the same relative position to each client in turn. This process takes 3-4 seconds on my system, during which I'm locked out of doing anything else. Just placing Hurricane on the same keybind on all clients, and manually moving the mouse to each window to target and click the spell is faster without compromising control. I know Pwnboxer has mouse broadcasting. I know it has a method 1 and a method 2. I know you click Dockable Clickmaps (which are functionally identical to ClickBoxer frames). I've never used Pwnboxer, but have seen Tim stream on JTV and some videos in play. I would probably give PB a 7 or 8 (out of 10), based on what I've seen. But, I've not used PB, so my rating is not accurate. On DB.com, there are badges which are based on your license/key for a given product. The badges are diplayed under your username and post count, and prove you have a license for the product in question. DB uses the same type of forum as MB, so the badges should be an option here. I'd imagine PB could provide a graphical badge proving you have a subscription. GameCommanderPro is not very active on DB, so I'm not sure if they have badges or not... and PwnBoxer are not discussed on DB, with posts which even mention PB or MB.com being deleted within 24 hours. Having the badge is about the only method which proves you have used a given software, and can accurately compare it to another. Then again, HKN, AHK, Mojo, Octopus etc are free programs, so there won't be badges for having a purchased license etc. |
