Default I think I know the answer, but.....

Is it acceptable to use the G15 Repeat Options while playing WoW, or is that considered cheating, Bot-Like, etc?

Anytime you have a delay type function, that is considered botting. So if you push a key now, and cause something to happen... and then three seconds later something else occurs and sixteen seconds after that another thing, all caused by the initial and only key input, that is considered botting.

The safest action is to assign a keybind where pushing G1 sends Alt + Ctrl + T to warcraft (or whatever bind you want), and then having a warcraft button with an ability or macro on it, and assigning that keybind to the button. You could even have your G-key send " /cast Lightning Bolt ", which is twenty characters if you include the spaces and the enter key, and be totally fine since one action is all that occurs and it occurs immediately in response to your input. Some software can use a G-key as the trigger for an action, rather than relying on sending a key combination which triggers something.

But the basic idea of I press it now, and it does something now and that is it. That is the key to being safe and not getting banned.

Essentially use the Logitech for key assignments, not the macros.

I use the G15 an absolutely crapload myself with just that. Love it!

I have the G15 and I didn't know it had delay functions, infact I wasn't sure how to bind my G1-6 Keys to the game... Kinda had me ticked off, but only cause I didn't look into it. LOL I just wanted it to work right away, like come up in the WOW key bindings after I installed the drivers. LOL

Having the keyboard send keybinds is the easiest way to use it, and that is 100% safe.

Similarly... having it do a short macro, as long as that macro could be done within warcraft or an addon for warcraft, is fine... but if its a macro, it is a lot easier to type that out in Warcraft than the G15 software.

Stick with, you push one button and only one thing happens in game, and that event happens as soon as you push or release your button. That's the point, and basically answers the initial question.

With my boxing software, I can use each G-Key as a hotkey for a mapped key -- which is a software action, such as a macro stored within an addon or a key combination. I am essentially using it as a Keybind sending device, except instead of sending a keybind it recognizes the G-Key as a keybind. Essentially the same thing, except that I can use Shift G1, Alt G1 etc...

Don't use these in Warcraft:
- You can set a G-Key, to constantly spam whatever keybind you have set, until you push the G-Key again; they call this function a Toggle.
- You can make timed keystroke inputs, where it times when a key is pushed, how long it is held, when it is released, the delay until the next key is pushed, etc. This feature can just mimic something you type once, and type it back at the same speed but can also allow you to set exactly what happens outside of the game; with a good enough "script", you could conceivably construct a simple "bot".

Yeah I would get bored if I just hit one button to do my rotations for me, or keep spamming follow, since I'm the type who'd be bored if I'm doing nothing manual anyway. Sure I want all my spells on my toons to cast at the same time, but no point pressing one button to have it spam and sit back and watch the fight, that'd bore me real quick and I'd go back to playing single player RPG games (which are still fun to play mind you)
