| I am about to purchase a Behringer 502 sound mixer to stream both PC game audio & microphone to justin.tv using FME on the "line in". ![]() Questions please! 1. Line out from my computer must be connected to the sound mixer, correct? Is this the right cable? What port does this plug into in the mixer? ![]() 2. Line in from my computer must be connected to the sound mixer, correct? I can't seem to find the cable for this.... Unless it's the same one as above? 3. Microphone has to be connected to the sound mixer, correct? I just plug in a standard microphone into the mic in port on the mixer? Simple yes? And if I want to use my headset's microphone I just use an adapter I take it? Is this the right adapter? ![]() 4. My headset has to be connected to the sound mixer too right? So I can listen to the game audio? If so what port do I use? Here is my headset that I use. (Do I have to buy a new headset and microphone or is the adapter good enough?) Any help or advice would be much appreciated. I've yet to find a complete tutorial on getting a sound mixer working and setup for use with streaming (FME + Justin.tv) Keep in mind I have the software all figured out, I just need to figure out the cabling for this mixer. | Just curious why you would need this when you can accomplish the same thing with virtual audio cable and a usb headset? you wouldn't even need a usb headset but usb headsets do have certain advantages such as it's own designated input channel. If it were up to me i'd spend the money for the fancy mixer on a newer usb headset and setup virtual audio cable. There's several good guides on youtube and some tips from a few of our forum members below. Are you saying I can use VAC without having to use the audio repeater? Keep in mind I DO NOT want to hear myself talking in my headset. Last edited by Liplin; 10-12-2011 at 03:45 PM. | |

If that's the case a usb headset could be a benefit for multiple reasons. | |
