Default Hour of Twilight Runs

Will like to check if any of the experienced boxers have successfully completed HoT runs with boxing?

The only one i know of is Revision but he's since decided to quit multiboxing after fully clearing 10 man DS dozens of times.

Revision clearing siege of wyrmrest temple.

http://www.twitch.tv/revision/b/311031522

How he did it i wish i knew but he must of had one master setup for his keybinds and macros. I'm still working on clearing regular cata dungeons and trying to get my team LFR geared so i can possibly try older cata heroics before mop hits.

Probably the single largest problem i have is with healing my team. I have a 380 ilvl pve geared resto druid but he's a follow character and while i have cleared one cata normal dungeon so far the healing is extremely light it seems compared to me healing myself if i were not multiboxing.

There's just no way i could effectively macro tank with a prot warrior and click cast heal like Revision does in the video i linked above. while that setup obviously works really well for him I can see the reverse happening in my favor where my tank would die more and my healer would be three times more fantastic

I've tried using macros to tank with a prot warrior but found that to be really unreliable due to rage mechanics.

Cata heroics shouldn't be too hard for you Xartin, I did a couple on my 5x Shaman team pretty easy. Granted they had those totem tanks, but it was pretty easy seriously.

Why not main drive the healer, and make a tank rotation for your tank, and have the same buttons as the tank rotation be DPS rotation on your deeps?

Now that most of my main team has a 380 ilvl or better in pve gear cata regular dungeons are almost trivial. my prot warrior has 385 ilvl and 6 piece best in slot for LFR raids.

Here's some armory links to salivate over

The characters wearing T6 transmog only need the bracers, gloves and boots from Sunwell to complete the full sets. My warlocks both have T6 sets but each needs one helm and shoulders before i'll consider using them.

Considering i can nearly kill Lord Marrowgar on 10 man icecrown citadel with one healer i'm considering getting back at it trying to farm sunwell. Getting past kalecos because of the portal encounter mechanics has proven to be difficult in previous attempts.

Lots of credit for the several T6 transmog sets i've assembled goes to Sethlan for the runs we've completed.

385 ilvl equipped Warrior Tank
Proud owner of nearly complete T6 transmog tank set, half a set of warglaives of azzinoth, half a thunderfury and one drop away from Sulfuras hand of Ragnaros.

Tyrlinger @ Blackrock - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

381 ilvl equipped resto druid in nearly complete full Tier 6 transmog

Cobal @ Blackrock - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

378 ilvl equipped arcane mage
6th in dps in my last LFR raid and a mosly complete T6 transmog set.

Xarnym @ Blackrock - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

380 ilvl equipped demonology warlock and one of my finest characters.
30 exalted reps and Champion of the Naaru

Xarrin @ Blackrock - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

374 ilvl equipped demonology warlock and my "second warlock"
I needed an enchanter when i moved servers and it wound up being this guy at some point several years ago.

Karvix @ Blackrock - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

I'm certain could make a small fortune farming cata heroics using the chaos orbs to craft 397 epics with both of my warlocks considering they both have tailoring and enchanting mostly maxed out.

Tailoring gives tons of bonus embercloth drops from killed mobs in dungeons so making dreamcloth by the dozens shouldn't be unrealistic

I also solo play all of my characters so my preferred ui setup is a hybrid for a clicker and keybinds are used primarily for multiboxing.

Yes i use a mouse to click and have been destroying people in dps meters since karazan was hard mode

Main driving my healer would take changing a lot of little settings and finally learn to use click to move and IWT which i've only ever tried once several years ago with very little success.

It might work but first i'd need to get motivated enough to tinker. likely a lot of the issues i have is my current mouse and keyboard aren't the greatest for keybinding several macros.

I've been using a bluetooth Logitech MX5500 keyboard and MX Revolution mouse combo but the keyboard really lacks easily usable macro buttons. The logitech keyboard and mouse software is also terrible for adding latency.

I mostly use a Logitech G13 gamepad which is predominantly the main controls for my healer, IWT and mouse broadcasting and one button on my mouse for one dps macro keybind shared with both warlocks and my mage. I really like this gamepad and it's probably been a large foundation of my somewhat limited success with multiboxing.

I have one of those gaming hand pad thingys and I just can't get used to it. I like having my hands on the keyboard. I still haven't found something better than my G11 which has 18 programmable buttons (other than the keyboard I built way long time ago).

Actually, if you look at my youtube page (vRevision - YouTube) you can see the Hour of Twilight Heroics aswell as Morchok and Yor'sahj the Unsleeping.

The hardest bosses without a doubt are Echo of Baine (End Time), Murozond (End Time) and Queen Azshara (Well of Eternity). The rest of them are all a walk in the park.

Murozond is hard only until you find the best way to do it, and having enough DPS.

I wanted to add a few notes about the fights, just to make things clear.

I hope nothing is confusing or that I missed something.

End Time

Echo of Baine
Timing matters the most, and preferably being able to zerg him down before he manages to jump too many times. I recommend upon entering combat to bring your slaves up to his platform with your tank, and have their backs towards one of the other platforms so that when he throws a totem on one of them they land safely on a platform.

Always be near the edge and be ready to run and use defensive cooldowns if required when he jumps on the platform you're standing on.

Interact with target is golden on this fight aswell.

Echo of Jaina
This is mostly a tank-n-spank fight, I use my tank to destroy the Flarecore and move my slaves out of the way of the Frost Blades.

Echo of Sylvanas
Her first use of Blighted Arrows can be tricky, if you're comfortable with the timing on it (I find it to be on a timer, not random) you can simply have your slaves stack and make them strafe to the side when she uses it so they don't get killed by it.

After the ghoul-based phase, be prepared to strafe your slaves (and your main) out of the Blighted Arrows since she does use it right after the ghoul-phase.

Other than that, just tank-n-spank.

Echo of Tyrande
Having your slaves stack seems to be the easiest. Strafe out of the Moonlance, just after she's finished casting you can begin strafing. A very small strafe is all that's required and your slaves won't get hit by it.

When it comes to the Eyes of the Goddess, I haven't found a pattern for if it's going to spin further away from her or close to her. You'll have to keep an eye on where it's going, and move your slaves backwards or forwards depending on where it spins. If it's spinning further away from her, move in and you're safe, if it's closer to her move out and you're safe.

DPS matters in this fight.

Murozond
What I noticed in this fight, is that there's a way of avoiding having to move several characters at once.

What I do, which isn't shown in the video, is I have the tank stand to the left of the boss before engaged, and all slaves stack at the front of the boss. That way, slaves will be on the left side of the boss when the tank has aggro, and also stand as close as possible to the boss.

One slave can be controlled (I use the healer) to stay further away from the boss. This does it so that Distortion Bomb (the yellow swirly things) will ONLY hit the character that is further away from the boss. If you run too close to the boss though, with that character, he will drop Distortion Bombs on anyone no matter how close they are.

Well of Eternity

Peroth'arn
Fairly easy fight. The faster you can kill him, the better.

I have my slaves stack up, drop HoTs when he uses Fel Decay to avoid letting my healer get hit too hard from healing. Strafe out of Fel Flames.

If you take too long to kill him, you will eventually build up on Corrupting Touch and you will get killed from it.

Queen Azshara
You can have your slaves stack up or spread them out, I haven't found any of them better than the other. Personally, I just let them stay stacked.

Nuking priority is as with a normal group. When Azshara takes control of one of your characters, using Interact with Target can help them face the hand that mind controls one of your characters. The same way can be used to make them re-face the enemy when the hand has been killed.

For interrupting Total Obedience I personally use my healer set focus on the boss and just use a macro to cast Wind Shear on the focus. Using the tank to interrupt or manually using another character to do it works aswell. Just make sure you're quick enough to do it.

Mannoroth & Captain Varo'then
Moving out of Felstorm is crucial, as it does hurt alot. I simply have my slaves follow my tank when it's being used and safely move away.

For the actual fight with Mannoroth, I usually have my slaves stack up at the feet of Mannoroth, and my tank right next to them so that any demons that spawn from the spawned portal is easily picked up by the tank.

Very straight forward and easy fight.

Hour of Twilight

Arcurion
Spread your slaves out, or they will take massive AoE damage from the enemys on the sides of the cliff.

Try to interrupt as many Hand of Frost as possible, they might hurt.

Ignore Thrall being frozen into a block of ice, he will break out himself when the boss reaches a certain percentage of health.

Seems like a tank-n-spank fight, as long as you're not messing it up.

Asira Dawnslayer
Have your slaves stand behind the tank, and move them backwards as you move your tank backwards - out of the Choking Smoke Bomb.

Your tank might take alot of damage from all the slaves standing there, but it will help you manage the fight easier and not interrupt any spell casters you may have.

Archbishop Benedictus
Having your slaves stack up is almost required, and be sure to dispel the Righteous Shear (Magic) when he casts it.

Be prepared to strafe your slaves out of the Purifying Light/Corrupting Twilight. I found the best time to strafe is when he has about 0.2 or 0.1 seconds left on the cast. If you time it properly, slaves can make it out without even taking 1 point of damage.

For the Wave, simply have your slaves move backwards or forwards to dodge it, or use Interact with Target if the boss himself isn't in the path of the wave.

Might aswell include the Armory links to my raid setup, keep in mind though that the gear required to successfully run through the Hour of Twilight heroics is fairly gimp. I can imagine having ilevel 370ish or so depending on team setup should have no issues running it. Hell, even I can wipe in there still if I'm unlucky.

I do use macros for everything. Most of the time, my dps comes from a single button. The only exception is the mage, since I use Evocation and Conjure Mana Gem seperately.

Main Tank
Feral Druid. Nuff said.

Impaired @ Saurfang - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

Main Tank 2
Protection Paladin. Shares account with the Druid. Swapped in from time to time.

Dekabit @ Saurfang - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

Off Tank 1
Blood Death Knight.

Voimakas @ Saurfang - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

Off Tank 2
Protection Warrior. Shares account with the Death Knight, swapped in from time to time.

Terabit @ Saurfang - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

Main Healer
Restoration Shaman. Earth shield and Riptide saves my bacon so many times.

Larue @ Saurfang - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

Second Healer
Holy Priest. Off-spec is Discipline, and I use it only rarely.

Audri @ Saurfang - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

DPSers
I have a ton of different characters that I swap in and out, depending on what kind of fight I'm going up against. I'll list those that I do use most of the time, and keep in mind that only 6 of them can be used at one time.
