Help with team

Hi I am trying to get my team running smoothly but I'm struggling.

Here is what I have.

warrior (tank)
druid (healer)
mage
warlock
hunter

I need to beable to focus on tanking without worrying to much about what the rest are doing.

Any tips on setting the kind of team up?



I also have 2 hunters I could swap out for the mage and lock but I would rather not, if its going to be a lot easyer to multi box with 3 hunters instead I can do that. I am only multi boxing to gear my tank up

Also I have Keyclone.

I'm testing and trying to make this work better some problems I currently have.

No enough controll over healing I cant tank 2-3 mobs and focus on healing aswell I tryed having a button so healing is just spammed on the tank but then I have problems with mana even using lower level skills. They are all 35 ish and I'm testing in SM lib.

Its also a bit of a mission doing the rotation for the dps whist tankling. untill I get to the spam spells like fire bolt, shadow bolt ect. i.e dotting up the targets and tanking at the same time as watching my health and healing is to much for my brain. I need ideas an making this more autimated and less of a multi tasking nightmare.

so any advice ideas woukd be awesome or links to tuts that I can use to improve my setup.

p.s what I have so far is fine if I only have 2 targets to deal with but as soon as theres 3 or 4 there is to much to think about and it just turns into a wipe.

With that composition, you have only one choice each for tank and healer.

I'd usually drive with the Warrior, and mouse click (or keybinds/mapped keys, which only go to the Warrior character) for procs or what not.
You can enable Click to Move, and use Interact With Target, to somewhat automatically drive the Warrior while usually playing another toon... but with the lone melee on the team, it will be easier to drive them.

As far as heals go, use Vuhdo, Healbot or all three: Grid, GridCustomLayouts and Clique.
Vuhdo and Healbot are stand alone addons which combine the functionality of the three, although I prefer the combination of Grid+GCL+Clique in how you can set the display.
In my case, my team of five toons (any combination across all teams, actually) is always displayed as the left-most column, while the remainder of the raid/battleground makes up the other columns.
I have what is called (in IS Boxer) a Repeater Region; Pwnboxer now has this feature, and if you're using Keyclone you can set up the same with HotKeyNet (there is a Sticky Guide in this forum on how to do that)... The repeater region sends clicks I make in any window, to only the toons who are healing.
And Clique (or Healbot/Vuhdo) interprets those clicks as the appropriate type of heal.

The DPS would be a castsequence, or a two-step macro.
Some classes can go with a straight castsequence that endlessly loops.
Others perform better with a pair of castsequences, which are alternated between, A, B, A, B, A, B, A, B, etc...

That leaves special moves...
Things like crowd control, or special moves like Innervate, the Warlock summoning thing, Healthstones, Mage Food, Etc.
Generally a hotkey for each.

Ualaa, I've noticed through a lot of your posts that your setup sounds pretty well refined, and you seem to have a good handle on everything. Do you ever stream or have youtube vids? I'd love to see some of your gaming!

Tried to set up the stream, and it was working for a couple of days.

When I moved to the two monitors, using the "Extend These Displays" option in Windows 7, my stream comes up as a large pinkish area... and that is about it.

I couldn't fix the issue through tinkering around, or by deleting everything and redoing the stream from scratch (same thing happened), and haven't played around with that in a while.

I wouldn't mind streaming... my internet was substantially upgraded since the last attempt at streaming, so the upload would in theory be potentially nicer on the eye-candy side of things.

My interface isn't anything overly special, but it is functional...
I've got Shadowed Unit Frames, Grid, Jamba and then several plug-ins into Chocolate Bar (liked the name). I sometimes use a damage meter, but often don't load that. A bunch of AH related stuff, on the auction toon. I've got three chat windows, stacked upon each other... one is combat, another is whispers/party/raid/bg chats, and the last is everything else (say and trade, basically). A little cluttered and definitely not a minimalist setup; I previously used the Mazzle interface, which I liked but haven't found or seriously looked for a compilation since that went under.

My warcraft accounts aren't currently active, but I've got gamecards for them...
This expansion, I've basically only done PvP... and am not really that fond of arena.
With the proposed changes (Conquest points from non-rated Battlegrounds)... which I'm hoping was 4.3 and not just a MoP thing...
I'd likely just run the larger scale BG's; that, and level some neglected toons.

I'm really thinking the Feral composition might be dynamite, should all the proposed MoP stuff go through as is.
The Paladin/DK's team was geared, at the start of the summer...
Other teams are mostly 80th, except for the Horde-side Warlocks (20's) and the Horde-side Paladins (55th, and intended for the 70-74 bracket as "twinks").

If you can't figure it out, check out Xsplit. I'm using it and it makes the streaming process ridiculously easy! Just plug in details, add the screen region, press broadcast and you're going.

The only problem with XSplit is that it will probably be going to a paid program. But when that happens is anyone's guess.
