| All this is is a key remap. As long as your software supports remapping mousebuttons then it works on paper. However, an issue you'll run into is with WoW itself. Commands are processed by the server in the amount of time that equals your client's latency. So, heres the issue. You send a targeting command is sent at the exact same time as the assist commands. If the targeting command is recieved after ANY of the assist commands due to network traffic, the assist commands that are processed before the target is updated will target an erronious or all together incorrect target. Tim runs into this issue if hes too quick on the buttons. It take roughly half a second to update targets which is plenty of time for those assit commands to sneak in.

| When the main toon changes targets, the slaves have a delay before they can read the change. This is basically double your latency, although it's double the current latency and not double the displayed warcraft latency (which is an average latency over time). Still, if you have 197ms of latency, in under half a second, the slaves will be aware of the master having a new target. If you switch from target A to target B, and attempt to dps immediately, there will be wrong target issues. This is a warcraft issue and is software agnostic; you'll have the same issue with any software or even hardware boxing, if the hardware is doing a form of assist. |

| This sounds a lot like automation of the game. If you are doing anything other than 1 key = 1 key then you can be banned. Just remember: 1 key = 1 key = ok 1 key = more than 1 key = banned There is a simple way to do this in a legit fashion. Simply make a macro in-game that does your /assist focus, and bind that to a keystroke, or to a mouse button. Bam, done, and 100% legit. Going to lock this thread so it doesn't spiral out of control. |
