Default Graphics question

I need to know A.S.A.P. whether or not an Intel GMA 3100 (on my current computer haven't gotten the good one yet) can do dual or more monitors.

I ask because I have an old laptop no one uses and the recently discharged server from my mom's pediatric practice (plus 16" monitor)

Short Answer: No.

Longer answer: You can tell how many monitors you can plug in by checking out how many plugs you have on the video card. Considering that your video card is integrated into the motherboard, the likelihood that there is more than one is nil. I would highly recommend running something that isn't integrated, as the difference in performance is phenomenal. Another option is to try out a DualHead2Go.

You are really better off buying a new video card, but to answer our question:

Matrox Graphics - Products - Graphics eXpansion Module - DualHead2Go
