| Thanks S&W, very much appreciated. I'm on US realms though (but always Horde!). AH has paid off well so far. Using Auctionator helps a lot, been buying up lower-priced trade goods and then reselling them at market average. Also ore prices have taken a dive on my realm - can buy them low, prospect, cut green gems and vendor the greens and still make money. Been able to make 10-20% on my entire bankroll a couple times per day for the past 3 days, with no transaction fees etc. Also got a load of blue gems as lagniappe. |

| Senior Member | I would ALWAYS recommend using Auctioneer. Spend about a week of scanning the AH on your main char (you can do a short scan which only takes about 2 mins). I try to scan the AH 2-3 times a day every day. Once Auctioneer has an idea of how the market acts, you can search for anything that will make you some easy profit. After 3 days of using Auctioneer on one of my mages, they started with 20g, I spent all that bidding/buying stuff, then jumped back on and resold, They had over 200g the next day, repeated the process on day 4 got my up to 1200g, repeated on day 5 and got 5000g, day 6 got me 10k, day 7 got me 20k. I may have just been really lucky, but it wasn't hard to do at all. edit: FYI these days were after I did a week of scanning. Auctioneer works on the 'Buy low, Sell High' system. If you need to figure out how to work Auctioneer, there are a lot of helpful guides around on the net. Just google 'Auctioneer Guide' or something and you'll be making money quickly!

| Thanks Snowy, doing that now. I have about 5 days of AH data built up, so now I'm learning how to do the searches etc. What types of searches did you use (reselling greens/ blues, disenchant, underpriced trade goods etc...)? I tend to be wary of green / blue equipment since the listing fees are so high and the frequently don't sell - been sticking with trade mats just starting out (Obsidium, Embersilk Cloth, a few Volatile elements and some Pyrium). |

| Senior Member | I will usually search by resale, set minimum profit to between 2-10 gold and search. I'll then sort by bid, and spend about 100g bidding on things in that list, then the rest of my money goes towards buying out things that I can see will make me a decent profit. I will occasionally sell things above what auctioneer tells me to, but not often. Last night I bought a few hundred dream dust, and left only the ones on the AH that were around 2.5g, then i sold mine at 2g per dust, after buying between 65s and 1.5g a pop and buying 400-500, i should make a nice hefty profit from just that. Auctioneer told me to resell at 1.2g per. I knew I could make more, so just watch for stuff like that. But normally it'll just do everything for you

| Just a note: On Blackrock, by the time my 5x Pallies were 62, I had 18k gold, purely from selling greens on the AH from my instancing adventures. |
