So does anyone here run in 10Man Pugs or Planned raids while boxing 5 toons? I was talking to a friend of mine and the topic of him being a main tank and me filling 5 DPS roles in a 10 man raid came up. I was thinking that 5 Shamans DPSing with 20 Totems would be pretty nice. Now i havent ran any 10 mans in a long time so i am not to sure if my theory would work in practice. So the question is - Who here uses their 5 man teams in a 10 man raid?

I know quite a few pairs of 5-boxers tackle 10-man content. And a few rare people 10-box, with varying degrees of success. Five shaman could be workable. But with the ease of macros, Click to Move + Interact With Target... You're certainly not limited to five of the same class, all casters, etc.

Yeah i am looking into multi class groups, but sadly i am in a place that i cant play WoW so i have to wait to get home from my trip before i can try out some idea. Ideally i want to have the following group - Pally Tank Priest Healer Druid Range DPS Shammy Range DPS Mage Range DPS the only thing is that last time i played wow they didnt have IWT and Click to move etc. (been about 1+ years) so i am unsure how to macro all the new spells and incorp those things. But good news is i should be getting home soon , so i am bound to find out i guess

You can toggle CTM via macro. Or in Interface Options - Mouse Options. 1 = On; 0 = Off. /Console AutoInteract # The IWT is a keybind, found in Targeting Functions. Towards the bottom of the section where you set F1 to target yourself and F2-F5 to target party members. I would have two IWT's set up; one for everyone (for questing) and one for only your melee toons. Pressing IWT, with CTM off, doesn't do anything unless you are in range of a friendly npc you can interact with or a hostile you can melee attack. Pressint IWT, with CTM on, has your toon move (as if you were doing /Follow NPC/Mob) towards where the target was when you pressed the key. If you press once and then wait until they get there, they generally just move. If the target is moving (PvP enemy) you need to correct (press again) each time the target moves. If you spam the IWT, you will generally over-run the target and run back to it, and if you continue to spam, you become a hurricane circling the target.... which reduces your white auto-attack damage a little but you are behind the mob/player so they cannot parry/dodge/block a lot of your attacks... so it isn't a gain or loss of DPS. Melee are just as viable as ranged for boxing. People are successfully running: Tank: Death Knight DPS: Rogue DPS: Rogue DPS: Rogue Heals: Druid

Dam nice to know all of that, i cant wait to get home and try this out. Its hard trying to work through the process and all the possibly issues without having ever done ti or the chance to actually do it and then work through the issues. Thanks for the info though, different need to keep on reading up on IWT and Macros in general
