| Hey guys! I'm having such a blast making video-based (w/written guide) tutorials that I've decided to make a super awesome series of guides specifically for multiboxing. These guides would be awesome guides, ranging from the very basics to the very advanced. Each guide would have a complete video along with everything being rehashed in a written format, including each macro, etc., that is used. The guide will cover multiboxing in general, and since I use Pwnboxer, it'll be using that. However, since it will be multiboxing in nature overall, the methods reviewed could be adapted for whatever type of software the reader uses. With that said, I'm looking for feedback on just what types of things I should cover. Also, I'd like to put these into 3 types of categories. Introductory Multiboxing
Multiboxing 101
Advance Multiboxing
So if you were to get your hands on the most awesome multiboxing video-based tutorial guide, what sort of thing would you want covered, and what category would you think it should be grouped in? Also, could you please let me know how you found this forum post (email, just found it yourself, friend linked it, Pwnboxer, etc). Note: I'll be updating/editing this thread with some ideas that you guys post. Cheers! EDIT/UPDATE LIST: * 03/08/11: Added 2 PVP type of guides (thx madmattco) * 03/08/11: Added RAF setups (thx guypolar) * 03/08/11: Added PC spec suggestions (thx Ualaa) * 03/08/11: Added Jamba review * 03/08/11: Added AOE Multiboxing (thx jmcnair) * 03/08/11: Added how to handle 10 year old feedback (thx Ualaa) * 03/12/11: Added gold stuff |

| First off I think this is a great idea. You have done a great job so far with your guides that i have seen on youtube. I would like to see more indepth tutorials on things in your old videos such as configuration of your bartender and how you set up your click to heal and the macros that you use. Maybe post your macro file and give a brief description on how and why you use what you do. Once again great idea Tim.

| Also dont forget to go with some pvp stuff under the advanced guide and how to do ftl with window switching. That is a big issue for some people i think.

| Well first off, i think jamba is a must. It definatlly makes boxing alot easier. Then of course if your going to be boxing more than 2 characters i have to say bartender or some other sort of bar addon. As far as questing goes carbonite makes my life alot easier due to the quest tracking for all party members. Also a bag addon doesnt hurt to keep track of things. I myself use baggins due to it sorts all my armor, quest items, food, and trash. I know alot of people that just use all their bags open at once and sometimes it does become a hassle. Especially when you have all your bank bags open or just all your normal bags looking for something. Just open your search bar and find it in an instant. No more organizing indivdual bags. Oh and i also use MSBT to show my damage and my slaves on my masters screen. Other than that, thats my minimum addons that i use. Sorry if you spot any spelling or grammer mistakes. Im typing all this on my phone and i have all the self correcting features turned off. Sometimes it thinks i mean to say totally different things lol.

| Under introductory MBing, maybe some tips on "multiboxing leveling" as in how you go about using RAF or setting up the multiple accounts to be the most efficient and cost effective. Since I've never multiboxed before, this seems like a good starting point. I'm sure there are a few tricks to enhance leveling aside from RAF as well. Also maybe something to do with cats or turtles. |

| People are always asking about compositions. You could have two sections for that. PvE and PvP. PvE would be broken into questing/dailies vs instances/heroics/raids. Heroics would require a tanking class... Warrior generally rocks, but is the hardest to micromanage; Paladin is the easiest so generally the best choice. Druids are easier than Death Knights, but Druids don't get all their tools until 81st, while Blood DK's are ready to go once you get them out of the starting area. PvE instances requires 3x DPS that can heal... or 1x dedicated DPS. You could cover the advantages of melee, along with IWT + CTM. Versus the relative ease of casters, not being in melee range is huge; but spell reflect mechanics suck for casters. Pro's and Con's to the use of both. Also look at buffs, not just cast but things like Earth & Moon, or Curse of the Elements. Or Fortitude, Mark, Kings etc, versus Heroism/Bloodlust. PvP might be more along the lines of compositions that support each other. With the exception of AV or flag running, a tank spec isn't that useful. But a tank capable toon, who can be ranged DPS or a Healer, rocks for PvP with other ranged toons. Melee rocks, Casters rock. Having both on the same pvp team, doesn't. Tons ask if they can two box or five box, on a given system. That might be worth mentioning. Graphic settings, foreground/background FPS, etc. For smooth play in general, and what kind of performance loss to expect in mass PvP or SW/Org. |

| Ualaa hit on something really important, PC specs required to multibox. Great idea Ualaa, thanks, it is added! I also clarified a bit about team composition, buffs, and added Jamba. Keep the ideas coming folk! |

| Oh and how about how to cope with world phasing, like resetting follow and what not. I simply have the Up arrow key move my slaves forward, by remapping the key to W for my slaves. This can be set to make this function no matter what toon is in focus to with key remapping. Hmm, perhaps a note too on not to get frustrated when areas like Twilight Highlands are under stressful conditions with lag and what not... probably due to the extreme amounts of activity in the zone, but none the less, its no reason to cringe and burst blood vessels.
