Default Exploiting a lack of tanks.. vs GS Elitism

Crossposting from the other site.
Original post by Powerwar.

If you are unhappy with all that GS elitism like I am, you have two options exploiting your multiboxing potential and the severe lack of tanks.

Follow these simple steps and you will become famous/loved/hated very fast on your server... and lots of fun is guaranteed for you:

1 ) Gear your tank in the best emblems gear... takes about a weekend or a week to emblems gear him soloplaying with the pug finder random dungeon feature.
2 ) Start gearing the rest of your team using your tank with shinny OMG-I-PWN armor.
3 ) Once you have all your team in T9 gear and farmed 23 frost emblems on the slaves, buy Primordial saronite x 4 (one per slave) and sell it. That's about 8 - 9k gold in total on my server. Buy the crafted ilvl 264 bracers for your tank. They are really good. KEEP THE FROST EMBLEMS ON YOUR TANK.
4 ) Go and farm ashen verdict friendly rep for your team in icc10. Get the nice rings. Takes several hours with a pala tank and 4 shamans. You will need to put one of the shamans as resto. The packs take a bit to get down, but with T9 gear it's not a big deal.
5 ) Proceed to the fun phase. Keep stacking frost emblems on your tank. You need the frost emblems belt and the cloak. Dont farm for the T10 set unless you are in a high end raiding guild.

At this point you should have about 4.8 GS on your tank and 4.4 - 4.8 on your slaves. You will find that mana conservation on your shamans is really crap compared to the naxx sets, so you have to abuse thunderstorm from time to time... not a big deal anyways because your dps will be considerably higher.

Now the fun begins... with that setup you can solo the WG bosses wthout problems, almost all naxx, some boses of ulduar and icc trash, being it icc10 or icc25.

When the weekly quest for killing some boss is about something you can solo, spam the trade or lfg channel with something like:
"LF 5 ranged DPS or randoms, preferably WITHOUT achievement for <BOSS HERE> and GS UNDER 4k. It is for the weekly raid <LINK QUEST HERE>. All fresh lvl 80s and crap gear people are welcome, GS elitists ARE NOT!" --> watch the elitist jerks rage in the trade / lfg channel and meanwhile invite the low geared people that are whipering you

When the weekly quest is for something you cannot solo, then just look at the trade / lfg channels for things like "LF tank and haler for <RAID QUEST HERE>. Required at least one million GS".
Reply with "Tank and healer here, also 3 DPS. You take it all or nothing and it's not negotiable. My GS is irrelevant, I can tank that boss no problem".
Since the lack of tanks is so severe on most servers, you will see the raid leader (probably some elitist guild DPS) just kicks several high GS "friends of him" to get your tank and your army into the raid. Don't feel bad if it results in a wipe... if you wipe the rest of the raid deserves it for kicking people just to get a tank (selfish bastards). If you dont wipe, then you get enough frost emblemens in total to buy one primordial saronite bar (2k gold)... and you have it well earned

This is assuming you have a pala and 4 shamans team like me. Having any other kind of team may be a bit different, but not that much. Mostly will impact in the bosses you will be able to solo.

You must do that on the same day the new weekly boss run is up, because on next day happens the raid reset. Most people don't run anymore other raid instances than ICC and TOTC. If it's outside these, chances are the elitist guilds have already saved their tanks doing the run already, because they have not that many tanks after all. Most of these +5.5k elite DPS will be unable to do the run if they don't get in group the same day the quest is up. They know it and they will do whatever you want if you are a tank.

You will be able to do the weekly quest the first day it appears with this procedure. On the next day you will still see the same elite GS DPS guys you didn't like in your raid begging desperately for tanks. If you are low on gold you can always tell them "Ok, I will tank for you. My GS is 4.8k and I have already done the quest, so I deserve 4.8k gold for tanking". If they complain I just reply with "I can equip my worse but higher GS trinkets and you will have to pay 300 gold more, it's up to you". If they continue complaining I tell them "Ok, find someone else to boost you in instances." and then go doing my stuff.
Most of them get severely offended by that, but my paladin has 9k gold in his pockets only by doing that.

Since I have started doing that I have annoyed at least 2 guilds on my server. There is nothing better than "I will kick you from the raid because your GS is too high and your performance will not be up to the raid expectations " The first time I did it in a naxx run kicking 2 peorpe from the most "elite guilds" from the raid because they had GS higher than 4k the rest of the raid was like "LOL dude, you have just made my day!". We got 2 more green and blues geared people instead of the overgeared ones. They were more than thankful and happy to join the run. One of them had just dinged 80 about an hour ago and also got some upgrades on his gear.
Funny thing was that one of the people that I kicked from that raid resulted to be the raid leader of one of these elite guilds. He was bitching about an hour about that. I had to explain him that being the raid leader of his guild doesn't mean he is the raid leader of my raid. On the next Monday (the day before the new raid quest goes up) I ran some friends to do the quest and that same guy was in the raid again. He started bitching again about being kicked previously and blah blah blah... I kicked him again and he was unable to complete the quest on time.

Also sometimes when some idiot asks me how much is my GS I reply with "Around 23k I'm that imba... without counting the totems "

I totally agree, not really from a GS perspective, but as a multiboxer in general, I always valued the tank way, way above the rest of the team. If you had to rate things on a 1 to 10 level, the tank should be 10, and the DPS can be a 1.

I feel a macro coming, this is a fantastic idea. The more people who "fight" GS the better.

Great post overall Ualaa!

Great post Ualaa. Just as Iru stated, this thread describes why I plan on not running endgame content and instead multibox (when I eventually build my gaming computer... sometime soon...).
