| Healing Stream stacks, but Mana Spring does not. Not sure if the Healing Tide will stack or not. Panda's are not a major point in the expansion for me. Sure they're the new race, and all... just the same as Draenei and Blood Elves were. But the other features are a much larger impact on my enjoyment. The Monk class can both tank and heal. Although as a boxer, the DPS spec is probably the most interesting. The new talent system looks to be quite strong. Nothing wrong with the original system through the WotLK era, which I actually preferred to the rail-roading Cataclysm system. This newer system will have the cookie cutter builds too, as a general consensus will be reached as to which spec is "best" for a given class and role combination. With only six choices to make, I think there will be less diversity and more cookie cutter builds. However, the combinations I enjoy playing... don't appear to be broken based on what is known now. And then some of the specs/combinations look to be better than before. Take my Feral Druids, for example. Towards the end of WotLK, I was really looking forward to the promised 5 extra talent points without any new talents. In other words, both Berserk and Nature's Swiftness. The new system gives Nature's Swiftness, from Kitty form and without the need to shift to a caster form... that on round-robin, is five very big heals each on a three minute cooldown. The loss of Berserker (breaking fear and rendering the druid immune to fear) hurts... but every composition except Shammies (Tremor Totem) have to deal with this... DK's have Lichborne, which can be used while feared as an extra cooldown, but most have only the Trinket as a Fear break while feared. The loss of Power Shifting to break Snares/Roots (only breaking Snares now) hurts too, but a level 90 talent returns the Root break and heals the Druid as well. They retain their Rake/Rip as dots which bypass armor... and Feral Charge/Ravage not requiring Stealth or being in the rear arc... along with the Mangle based DPS. I've always really liked both Druids and Shammies. With the information we know about Ferals, they seem to be rather strong for MoP. |
