Hello all. So i decided to get pwnboxer and i really like it, its smoothness in windowswitching etcetc. Having used keyclone in the past. Im having a really hard time trying to find a guide that can tell me examples of complete keymappings (inkl a download of the key mapping file if possible). Nothing is more annoying than coming across a ok guide, only to find out that they only posted a small bit of their keymappings. Its not that im lazy, ive used all my freetime on this for the last months but im still stuck sadly. ![]() Im currently playing 5 shamans lvl 80 and starting to get ok geared, but i got a 10man team almost ready to go now. Here is what im after, if possible: Gameswitch F1 = game 1. F2 = game 2. F3 = game 3. F4 = game 4. F5 = game 5. Im trying to make key maps so that when im on toon 1 in game 1, the others will follow me. When i am in game 1 and press F3 f.ex, it switches to game 3 on my bigger "picture" and all the others target/follow/focus the toon 3 etcetc. Before i use time on sharing my complete list of keymappings for pwnboxer and much else i would be very interested if others know any links they could share or even downloads. Im sure there are 2 box, 3 box, 4 box etcetc keymappings for pwnboxer out there. I just cant locate any. In my opinion if they exists should be stickied here on this site. Tyvm in advance. All help and insights is most welcome.

By the way, my 10man team will be similar to the one "Tim" has, except mine is 5 shammies, 5 druids.

One "top" thread in here is the How to configure a Focusless/Targetless/Leaderless multiboxing system its awesome but is it possible to elaborate the keymappings in that thread so you can see it as it would appear in the pwnboxer program? Downloadable file?

I always thought all the FTL stuff was doable with the in-game macro system. Game switch is also possible with Pwnboxer.

Pretty sure you need key mapping, where a given button is different depending on the target window. That way, you can identify which window the original command came from based on the modifier that window has added to the key output. IE, you push A, but if you are in window 1, you actually get Left Shift A, while in window 2 you would get Left Alt A... Then based on the input received, the other windows know who to assist or to follow, etc. All of the better boxing programs support Key Remapping, although it is called something different for each. You don't really need FTL, although if you can get it working it is rather nice in that Focus and Target are free for other uses and your toons can be spread across different groups (in a Battleground, for example), without impacting your assist method. If you cannot get an FTL to work, consider the Target based system, where you have each toon target your lead toon, and then either /cast [target=targettarget] or /assist [target=target], with /follow [target=target]. While target=target will seem redundant, it also then allows modifiers like [target=target, help] which then prevents your toons from following/assisting your normal leader when they are charmed and temporarily hostile. A target based system still lets you use Focus for PvE crowd control or for PvP quick burst target switches. Search for "The No Focus Manifesto" for a good explanation of the Target based assist.

I was able to set ftl via posts in macro forum here and a couple other boxing sites The posts would be ~9 months old at this point though. I'll look at home when I have time. ftl does have the longest set up time and you simply have to be patient when trying to get it off the ground edit: Quickly looked at macro forum and the ftl sticky does a fair job at explaining it. Personally I only used ftl macros and ftl keyremapping to handle leader following and assisting but then I only used ftl setups for same class teams. For my main pve team I just use a target based system and use a action bar saving mod to change between solo and boxed play Last edited by trowabartan; 10-04-2010 at 10:35 AM.

The problem is I don't really use FTL myself, I believe focus-based systems are faster, more fluid, and better to use. So for FTL its hard for me to write up an extensive guide. If anybody wants to write up an extensive guide w/screenshot images of using Pwnboxer and FTL, I'd be willing to throw them in a free Pwnboxer license to give a friend.

But I can say this, setting up FTL isn't hard at all. Just go into the key remapping and set what window you want to transform what key into what. Then save your PB config and load it every time you restart PB. Pretty easy as far as mechanics go.
