Your best bet is to go into VHScrCap and set the output resolution to be 1280x1080 and then make sure your FME has the same resolution.

OK, i just regististered for this post.

First i want to say thank you, Tim. Your tutorial was by FAR the most helpful and detailled one i could find anywhere. It really helped me setting up a working stream.

Now, my only problem is this: I dont have the slightest idea how i could get my mic to work at the same time. So, i want to stream my sceen + sound PLUS my microphone in which i speak into. Do i need some kind of mixer for that? I really have no idea (;

Again, thanks for your help!

EDIT:
Oh...and i just noted i have another not-so-small problem. Everytime i start a game the only thing you can see at justin.tv is a black screen. You hear everything i do but you cant see anything. Do you have any idea why that is? :/

Hey! For the sound, you need to enable Stereo Mix in windows, and set that as your recording.

For the black screen, sounds like vhscrcap isn't set correctly. Just start it up by itself, click new, and click on the set window and click the desktop you want recorded.

Mmm I was wondering if I may get some help with streaming. I've followed the guide from start to finish. I happen to be able to stream, but the frame rate/FPS are so bad I'm just wondering what's wrong? It goes down to about 8 or even lower to 10 Frame Rate. While watching my stream it seems to lag a whole lot. I tried out different combinations such as resizing and such, but it still comes out with the same frame rate and lag as well empty black blocks around my video due to resizing. I been playing around for at least an hour or so, but no luck. Is this because I need a better computer? or my settings are just funky. If needed I'm willing post up my settings thanks :3.

What are your specs suni? I'm running a laptop with a dual core at 2.4 GHz, 2 GB RAM, and an ATI Mobility Radeon X2300 and can stream most games fine with no lag

Intel Duo Core 2.8Ghz
4GB Ram
Nvidia 9800 GT

It's that my stream is laggy and it also lags my computer for some reason. I can't find the reason why or how to make it smoother with good quality. Thanks

Computer should be fine. What about your internet? What's your upload speed?

I just used a speedtest suggested by a friend and here are my results.

Ah! I think your upload speed is to blame. You'll need to bump down the quality of the stream. To do this, go to your justin.xml file (or whatever you named it). Find the <encode> tags, and change this line...

Code:
<datarate>1000</datarate>
...to something lower, like 750 or so. Then try again. You def need more upload speed =\
