Default Re: Exact way to stream with FME to JTV - READ HERE

Very nice guide.Ive ran into a small problem. Was hoping someone could help me come to a resolve on the issue.Video lag is not quite the issue seems when i do alot of things the stream gets distorted and grainy.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Edit:VHSrcCap FPS is set to 30 not 15.

Ran speed test around 10 times or so to test consistency.Download was from 28 to 32 mbps , while upload was from 3.17 to 3.19 mbps.

After much testing ive came up with this.still some lag and grain.I figured id update my progress.
Currently set on.Test Video

The grainy issue is simply due to the lack of bandwidth to transmit the images, so the only way around that is to increase the bandwidth, or decrease the resolution size.

Yup bandwidth as in bitrate. You generally want to max it at 60% of your stable, available bandwidth. So if you have a ton of upload speed, like a TON, you could do something like 3000 - 4000 kbps, which is quite a NICE stream

You look to have > 3Mbps, so I think try doing a stream with 2200kbps, that should probably be around the cap. Also, you could resize your stream size in FME to 1280x720 and that would probably look really nice.

Last note: Set your FME framerate to be 15, no more!

Took your advise tried bitrates from 2000-2200 not much of a difference.720 indeed does look great but after having a few of my buddies check out my stream for lag,etc..they said it does lag and gets a bit choppy at times.I find weird ont he video that pops up after ending a stream the video has just a hint of lag.nothing like they were saying. Also tried using h.264 has virtually no lag but gets very pixelated. Not sure were to go from here.any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

Really it is about bitrate, the higher you have, the more options you have.

I just ended up getting a new laptop. (I prefer the laptop over desktop) and I'm having issues maintaining a consistent high fps (30fps) @ 1280x720 res and keeping the high clarity. I was wondering if anyone can help me with my setup. Here are my specs below:

MSi GT683DXR
12GB Ram
i7-2670QM 2.2GHZ (OC'ed at 3.4Ghz)
Hyperthreaded Quad Core
NVidia GTX 570M

Here's a link of some gameplay. I reduced the game's res by half so it'll run somewhat half decent but...still...

XUpYourGameX - Waves of Torture... This was recorded using Xsplit with the Game Capture Feature @ 1024x768 and 3000kbps.

http://www.twitch.tv/xupyourgamex/b/315498218 This was captured with FME @ 1280x720 and 3000kbps

Guys I need help, I have a Creative soundcard with "What U Hear" stereo mix and it works.

But when I started FME 2.5 and looked at the audio devices I could use, my stereo mix wasn't in the dropdown choices, WHAT DO I DO.

My choices were two microphones and a line in, which wont help me at all.

Enable Stereo Mix, that should resolve that. AC 97 Codec (search these forums for DL link).

Even when it's enabled it wont show up in the devices, I tried disabling the line in and two microphones but they still showed up anyways.

I tried installing the AC'97 codec but in the middle of installing it, windows security pops up and says windows cant verify the publisher of this software and asks me if I want to continue anyways, If I say yes then it will keep installing without gaining any progress and then ask me the same thing again forever.

/update
I managed to install AC'97 by clicking yes like 40 times But it didn't fix anything, my stereo mix wasn't in the devices so I uninstalled it.
