First off, thanks for the awesome tutorial!

Next, my upload is a sad 1 Mbps speed. My justin.xml is as folows:

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?>
<flashmediaencoder_profile>
    <preset>
        <name>Custom</name>
        <description></description>
    </preset>
    <capture>
        <video>
        <device>SCFH DSF</device>
        <crossbar_input>0</crossbar_input>
        <frame_rate>25</frame_rate>
        <size>
            <width>1280</width>
            <height>1080</height>
        </size>
        </video>
        <audio>
        <device>Realtek HD Audio Input</device>
        <crossbar_input>0</crossbar_input>
        <sample_rate>44100</sample_rate>
        <channels>1</channels>
        <input_volume>100</input_volume>
        </audio>
    </capture>

            <width>800</width>
            <height>640</height>

I'm using 100 datarate just for testing purposes, and I'm using a program called Bandwidth Monitor and it shows my upload constantly spiking from 200 kbps to over 1,000 kbps (which is my upload speed.) Playing WoW is really laggy, even though my datarate is only 100. Even the FME log shows my video bitrate constantly spiking to over 1,000. It usually says 0, then it spikes to anywhere between 1,000 to 2,000.

Anybody have any ideas?

I also have another question, does the following setting have any impact on your CPU?

Code:
        <size>
            <preserve_aspect>1</preserve_aspect>
            <width>800</width>
            <height>640</height>
        </size>
I even tried setting that to as low as 640x512, and my ping still spikes, but I was wondering how that affects your CPU (since what it does is resize the output for final streaming.

Lastly, what does changing the FPS affect, your CPU usage, ping, or both?

Thanks!

The lag could be from a couple of things. Either from your internet or your CPU (somewhat intensive on the CPU). What CPU are you using?

Core 2 Duo E6400, stock speed.

I also forgot to ask, does resizing the output video also affect your ping?

Ah, the good old dual core. That, and your internet may be your problem. If your ping spikes, that could be your upload speed. The lag may be from your CPU/computer.

Okay, first off excellent and easy to follow guide...got it to work the first time through.

My issue is well I see some streams...streaming at the same settings I do (maybe) and it looks crystal clear...no pixelation not a single bit of choppiness or anything.

picaard_ - #1 Gamer Boy League of Legends. Celebrating the existence of females!!! <- in this video it looks like the framerate the stuff is capturing at or something is slow...and its pixelated kind of...what do i need to change in order to do this.

My internet is 25 down 5 up. I7 SB...nvidia 590 TI etc 8 gigs... I just cant find the issue...some people even stream at lower bitrate and it looks simply amazing.

edit: maybe if i turn up the quality to "Best Quality - Lower Framerate" and turn up my VHSCR thing to 60 fps?

The music/sound does not lag, seems like its only the Video.. And found another issue, the streams gets kind low quality/blurry.. But mostly the lagg issue is the most important thing.. :/
