My advice: Use Good Quality, Good Framerate or lower to avoid frame drops.
I just discovered this. It's a bitrate calculator. Pretty cool.

Flash video (FLV) bitrate calculator | Adobe Developer Connection

Just punch in the settings you want to use and it'll tell you the bitrate required... and if it's more than your connection can handle (remember it'll be your upstream bandwidth), then you'll just have to tweak the settings until it's something that fits. Then, when you find settings that fit your connection, punch them all into your FME or whatever, and be sure to also set the bitrate it tells you.

Hii

For some days ago i decided to start streaming myself. So i started to do some research and got hold on this tutorial posted here. I manage to get my stream working on the first try BUT my FPS seems to be strange or i might have done something wrong.

Here is a sample of my test stream --> LINK

as you might see my FPS is stuck at 12-14 fps.

Im running on 2,6 Quad core intel and 4gig ram and 260 gtx nvidia vcard.

Pls help me streaming gurus!!!

What screencapture program are you using? You might wanna check if it's capped at 15. And no it's not FME.

Be sure the values in VHScrCap and your XML file (if you're using the console) are set to 30+

Quick question

Imageshack - wtfse.jpg <---- whaat?

I followed the instructions from this forum, and it worked like a charm, as u can see Justin.tv - wgbbanzaii - SC ladder <- here.

But when I woke up today after that streaming, my batch file just starts up and "streams" 1 fps and no audio. justin.tv says I'm online but it's not getting anything from fme...

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hmm, very strange. Have you tried a restart in case it's a fluke?

Otherwise... I guess be sure the frame rate setting didn't get mucked up for some reason?

Restarting didn't do nothing, but after resaving the profile within FME it started working again, but only at 11 fps, while I have it set to 25 fps, it even says so in the batch file itself...

Oh I forgot to say I'm actually using FME 3.2 not 2.5 because with 2.5 it won't recognise my stereo mix unless it's the default device...

Any ideas? It doesn't matter if I even tell FME to make it 60 fps it's still just 10-11... and in the stream before it was at around 25

What else is going on in your system processes. It might be that something in the background is downloading an update and causing FPS to shrink.
