Default Re: Exact way to stream with FME to JTV - READ HERE

Update:

I got it to start up... It will connect and everything, but I get no picture... Then maybe 30 seconds later it restarts and gives me this error

Sun Dec 06 2009 01:58:47 : Encoding and streaming to server is stopped due to a problem in capturing audio/video data. Either the capture device is removed or there is an error in encoding process. Restarting the encoding session.

Edit again: Ok, so I remade the XML file and I did not put the audio section, what I did was I loaded FME and changed the settings so I had no audio, I saved that file, then opened that file and copied everything in it.. I then pasted it in the XML file in my FME folder where my batch file is.. Well, I eliminated that error I posted above, but now I can't seem to get any video... Justin TV says I am live, but the only thing I see is a black screen with the little loading symbol going around in circles as if it was loading something.

On the CMDline status screen, are you getting a server buffer or dropped frames?

I don't think so.

Do I need to have the Justin TV Broadcast page open?

Nope. Using this method circumvents Jtv's built in system. Which is what we want to do.

I reformatted my PC this morning because it needed to be reformatted anyway. I then decided to try this all over again. I finally got it to work. Is it normal for my CPU % to jump from around 5% to 60% then back down to like 10% then back to 50% and then drop off back to like 6% when I am streaming? It seems to go up to a high number, then drop to a low number over and over. Just want to make sure that is right.

Also, I am not 100% sure what my bit rate is supposed to be at. I have it set at 1,000... In the cmd line thingy is goes from 0 to 1306 or 1500 then back to 0 then back to the 1306 or 1500.. Here is my PC specs if you can possibly help.

It is a 1 and half year old Alienware Area 51 7500

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8200 @ 2.66GHz
SLI NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB

It came with 2GB of RAM, but I added another 2GB of ram making it a total of 4GB of ram on a 32bit not 64.

CPU use changes based on how much is going on on-screen. Its normal .

Im actually not sure why it would drop to zero. But yes that can fluctuate wildly as well.

I have a slight problem. When I set up the program with these settings, I lag. Which I understand, my computer isn't exactly..high end. However, I lowered the settings to about what I could use without FME (for decent quality) and my Frame rate tends to drop. Often. To about 8.00...

Helps O.O;

Current settings:

Code:
    <capture>
        <video>
        <device>VHScrCap</device>
        <crossbar_input>0</crossbar_input>
        <frame_rate>30</frame_rate>
        <size>
            <width>800</width>
            <height>600</height>
        </size>
        </video>
        <audio>
        <device>Realtek HD Audio Input</device>
        <crossbar_input>0</crossbar_input>
        <sample_rate>44100</sample_rate>
        <channels>2</channels>
        <input_volume>75</input_volume>
        </audio>
Code:
<video>
        <format>VP6</format>
        <datarate>350</datarate>
        <advanced>
            <keyframe_frequency>5 seconds</keyframe_frequency>
            <quality>Avg Quality - Great Framerate</quality>
            <noise_reduction>None</noise_reduction>
            <datarate_window>Medium</datarate_window>
            <cpu_usage>Dedicated</cpu_usage>
