if you connect your monitors via HDMI or DVI, it should map the pixels to the output display with 1:1 ratio (i.e., no overscan)...but that's mainly for displays that are primarily PC monitors, and not TV's that have a PC (analog D-Sub) connection.

that said, with any display that has overscan, there should be a way in the nVidia drivers to set the area of the screen that is to be used for displaying a picture, and doesn't let the rest of the screen display anything.....sort of like a "resolution within a resolution", similar to the way pwnboxer can resize WoW to fit within a smaller box on the screen.

it's been a while since i fixed this on my girl's HTPC, but it's within the actual nVidia drivers.....you simply drag a rectangular outline around the screen, and drag each of the 4 sides to the furthermost edge of the screen, and it will only display an image within the area which that box encloses.

it is entirely possible that they did away with that option within newer versions of the nVidia drivers as well, but i've been using an ATI card for a while now instead, so i couldn't really tell you exactly where it is now, if it still exists.

even if it doesn't exist anymore within the nVidia drivers, you can still use a program called PowerStrip which lets you do a "resolution within a resolution", but it's a bit more complicated to get set up.

I use my LCD hdtv 37" from LG as my primary display on my pc. I play wow, movies, using webbrowser etc on it and dont experience any lagg or anything (as the prevous posts mentioned). The Display is just as crisp and all, like if it was on a normal pc lcd monitor. I connected it through HDMI input on my pc and running a 1360*768 resolution (the native resolution on my tv) at 60hz. My pc monitor is my secondary screen for my 4x slaves on my multiboxing team. Works perfectly for me so i can game with my keyboard on my lap and mouse on the table in my comfy chair in my livingroom
