Ok, so I had a 69 druid and paladin that I haven't touched in awhile. Since most my 80's are alliance, I decided to transfer these two to horde. My question is what is the best spec / strategy for these two for the fastest leveling possible in WoTLK? My thoughts, in order of priority, are: 1. Main: Ret Paladin Slave: Boomkin So a double dps here, with boomkin able to heal if/when needed. 2. Main: Ret Paladin Slave: Cat (or Bear) Less getting into proper distance, so basically both get to melee range with IWT and just Click Macro it. Divine Storm glyph should be enough heals. 3. Main: Bear Slave: Holy Paly --Just an option. I don't like not having Hots, and having to keep flash healing or holy light'ing. I'm more into using either option 1 or 2. Which one do you experienced folks suggest for the fastest leveling in Northrend?

If you did a tank/healer combo, and could heal a whole group, you could do quite a bit of leveling via instances with pretty much no downtime.

Fastest leveling, would probably be dual-DPS, and to follow a quest stacking guide in conjunction with either Carbonite, Questhelper or a similar addon. I'd think the instance route would be quite fun, and with control of both the tank and the healer, you could set your own pace. Not to mention the queue's would be about as short as possible. I'd probably quest them together to 40th or so (whenever you can dual-spec) and then run them as both dual-DPS (solo) and Tank+Heals (group) with probably the Pally as the tank and the Druid as the Healer; mainly because a Pally is very easy to tank with via one-button mashing and the Druid is a far superior group healer. You can also PvP with them, probably as dual DPS although dual Healing might be interesting, you'll be particularly effective in the x7's through x9's level brackets. With only two toons, I'd pvp in the upper levels instead of mid and upper.

I decided to go with the Ret Paly lead with click macro and Boomkin just smashing wrath. For harder mobs, boomkin can do other spells when needed. Setting up new toons/groups always takes awhile for me. Spent a good 2 hours yesterday just redoing macros, keybinds, healbot, and keyclone do not pass and round robin setups. Still need to do the paly's keybinds, but that's pretty quick.

Come say hello if you want, Maelstrom Realm, Horde. Names are: 69 Paladin: Freakalique, BE Female. 69 Druid: Mooguyver, Tauren Male (all the good names were taken already) (Both are on my normal permanent accounts) Previous combo before deciding on the alliance-->horde transfer: (I hate to say goodbye to these two, but only need one of each class per my main's server) 22 Druid: Footlong, Tauren Male (On my permanent account #1, probably will be my banker) 22 Druid: Triplenipple, Tauren Female (RAF account, will be cancelled)

I'd go with a click castsequence for the druid. You basically have a single button which you mash, which will then push other buttons in a priority sequence (multiple castsequences). In the case of the druid, it is: a) Moonfire; b) Insect Swarm; and c) one of Wrath or Starfire. The fall through can be a castsequence of 3-4 Wraths followed by 3-4 Starfires, which is an approximation of the Eclipse proc. While an approximation is not as good as actively managing the proc, it is about half of the gain of management over not managing it at all; ie, a significant increase in DPS. Also, for trash mobs or anything that is not a boss, just drag the Moonfire and Insect Swarm castsequences off of the clicked buttons, and the click then spams the fall through which is straight nukage. For a Ret Paladin, you'll probably use: Divine Storm, Judgement of Choice, Crusader Strike and possibly Consecration in the click sequence; I believe that is the sequence I set up for my roommate, but I am 1600 miles away from home for the summer. Again a click sequence is recommended... That way, you can spam a single button and they will both do the optimal PvE dps sequence. There is a sticky in the macro section for click castsequences.
