Default Did Blizzard lead you into temptation too? :P

With the servers down this morning, I logged into my World of Warcraft account on the Wow site and debated for 20 or so mins if it was worth it to get some more accounts.

Eventually I compromised with myself and decided to go with 4 new standard wow accounts (no expansions) and I gifted them to myself. This way it cost me $33 after shipping and tax for the convenience of lvling faster. It'd been nice to get TBC/Wrath/Cata for these accounts too but this time of year the belt is tight on what I can spend my money on. Which I wish they would keep standard wow and tbc at $5 or I'd even say $10 year round as that would boost their overall sales anyhow. Alas they are a business and as long as new accounts keep opening they have no real reason to keep the priced lowered.

Anyways I started to wonder, how much did Blizzard benefit from this sale... and where else to start is ask here. How many accounts/expansions did you get under this deal, whether for urself or gifts for fam/friends?

EDIT: BTW - Today is the last day of the sale I have been told so if you are planning on purchasing any of the items on sale, I'd do so before the day is done to be safe.

They make much more money off the subscriptions than by the initial sales.

10 accounts all with wrath here =)
