Diablo 3 anyone?

Real quick, how many of you guys are going to be playing Diablo 3?

Of that, how many of you would be interested in the BETA?

I'm thinking about reaching out to Bliz and seeing if I can't get a couple BETA accounts and do some streaming before the game comes out.

Speaking of which, has anybody found any sorts of a release date? I searched Bliz's D3 site and haven't found anything conclusive yet.

I played Diablo 1 like a nut and loved it. I didn't play Diablo 2 much, however, I did enjoy playing games like Torchlight. I definitely am going to stream Diablo 3 a crapload before and after it comes out.

Unfortunately, a recent Blizzard announcement really ruined the game for me.

In a nutshell, they will include Ubisoft-like DRM. As in, you MUST maintain 100% connectivity. Any interruption at all and your character dies. Sucks to be you if you lose power while playing a hardcore character.

I'll play D3, loved playing D2, didn't play D1 much, but I do like the idea of live AH where you can make real money! I haven't looked into it much, but is it another MMO where you run with a party or just solo play with a MMO AH?

As for the DRM I have never heard about it, and I have heard too that your hardcore character is protected from death. Just something I heard in a youtube video though.

D3 i can not wait for it will be a classic for sure. I played diablo back in the days and what a great game and diablo 2 was a great game even on multiplayer good old battle.net. They need to give out a release date and Tim i would be in for Beta no prob

I think im gonna wait and see how this realmoney-AH is gonna work out.
Its a big gamble on blizzards side.. if it works out wrong, the game is gonna be broken till they patch it out :P (activision says: not gonna happen)
If it works out fine, ill get Diablo 3 like after the first bugfix patch

Its not really a gamble. People are going to buy items for D3 whether Blizzard implements this system or not (look at the d2 item market). By doing this, Blizzard makes these purchases safer for players (If I recall, I think they get a cut of each sale, but I could be wrong).

Yea, but it's a gamble since it can go two ways.
It can either completely ruin the economy for this game, taking the pvp thing they implemented along with it... or it can be the next big thing in gaming.
I'd like to know which of the 2 before i toss a load of cash their way for diablo 3, since i would probably focus on the pvp thing more or less:P
