| Here are some pictures of a 5 warlock team getting to Van Cleef and taking him down. Notice the multiple dots on these mobs. My team was lvl 20 when I started Deadmines. I gained two levels before the last boss. Last edited by eqdude; 01-23-2010 at 09:37 PM. |

| 5 lock = no res - does soulstone rotation work well enough to make instancing ok?

| Super Moderator | Yeah, no res will make things... interesting in the later instances. Maybe go engi and buy/create shock cables for res? I've never gone engi so I have no idea on the success rate of the cables

| I charge up the soulstones before each boss encounter. Unfortunately, I had already wiped on my first atttempt with Van Cleef and the timers on the soulstones were not refreshed. On my first attempt, I tried using Rain of Fire on VC and his guards, but it did not work. So, on the attempt in the picture, I put 15 dots on Van Cleef and focused shadow bolts on him 5 at a time. He went down, but his guards killed my team. This was followed by a corpse run. Rain of Fire worked great on regular mobs, but some of the elites could live through it. I had little difficulty getting to Van Cleef's ship. Most of the patrols succumbed to Rain of Fire. This team has been easy to level with dots. I ran through Westfall dotting everything in my path and kiting it behind me while it died. Ten dots will kill any normal mob that is at or close to the level of the team. So, my leveling to twenty consisted of running to each quest and killing everything in between the quest NPCs. I seldom stopped to loot anything because I was too busy dotting the next mob in front of me. Last edited by eqdude; 01-24-2010 at 08:50 AM. |

| Very curious here, how are your 5x Voidwalkers at tanking with your 4x Warlocks? I see you are dead here heh but overall would you say they are looking to be pretty good in the tanking dept? Do you expect to be running other instances fairly well? |

| I'm only using 2 void walkers, the other 3 pets are imps. I chose imps for fire power and the two void walkers to maintain aggro. At lvl 23, none of them died doing Dead Mines. It was easy. |

| Hey what if you were to swap in a priest into the group for sheer AOE healability? Wouldn't that allow you to go even further with this group? |
