The registration is tied to your OS, hah, so yea if you reinstall it'll change, same if you change your hardware (don't use a bootloader). This is getting updated a bit in the new PB coming out soon.

I don't get it, temp files and cookies make your computer slow? If it's your browser that you feel is getting slowed by too many cookies, just empty your cache from all offline files and cookies? Otherwise I can't see why temp files would slow down a system, especially not after just a couple of weeks. Unless you install and uninstall tens of programs every day which would make the harddrive fragmented, which also is easily fixed.

everything does. it all adds up, everytime you download something its taking space up and if its something you have running it will be cpu useage. i used to formated like once per year and since ive been doing it every month or so you notice a big difference and cleanness to your computer. there are many more things that slow your computer down too so its just nice to keep it fresh and upto date.

| Senior Member | It's because of the junk code in Windows. After you install a program it's almost impossible to entirely remove all traces of it. You can scour the registry and never get it all. |

He is right, when you reinstall Windows, it is always faster. A suggestion though: Get VirtualPC for Windows 7, its free, and get Windows XP Mode, its free as well. Then install nothing but your WoW and other important things on your PC. Install your junk AND all your web browsing on your virtual system. You can run your virtual system inside Windows 7, I do it now, you can ask me about it over the stream I'll show you.
