| Hello all, I'm a newbie in the world of multiboxing. Always thought it looked like fun but never thought I could figure it all out. Today I decided to attempt it. One question that I can't seem to figure out is: How do I keep my second character from going crazy when I'm typing in chat on the first character? I'm only playing two accounts in World of Warcraft. Thanks to anyone kind enough to help. |

| It would help to know what software you are using. In general, you want to disable your keys from broadcasting while typing a chat message.

| Thanks for helping. I'm using PwnBoxer. I see the option to configure the key broadcasting, but am I do not see how to disable while chatting. |

| In Pwnboxer, you can have multiple key broadcast sets and then assign a hotkey to each set. You'd probably want 2 sets: #1 to broadcast only the keys you specifically want (most people do not use a-z in-game) and the #2 to broadcast All keys, but (and then leave this blank). End result is your specific list of keys get broadcasted, and you can then toggle to broadcast all, and just hotkey between the both (I use ; and ' as my toggles). |

| Thanks Tim. That helps a lot. Is there a written version of the "how to use this software" anywhere? I've looked at the forums to see if I could find a written introduction and set of directions but so far haven't found one. Am I missing it? I've been experimenting but am not always able to figure out how to do stuff. Thanks again, I'm still trying to learn how to work with the software but once I do I think I will like it. |

| Finally was able to get all the how to videos watched - and I understand a bit more. I have found that when using pwnboxer, my second character who is set on follow will drop follow at random times. Sometimes within 5 seconds of following, sometimes longer. This happens when I fly, but on the ground it seems to be okay. Is there anything I can do to address this issue? |

| If you can broadcast different sets, and define more than one. I'll recommend three profiles. a) Nothing is broadcast. - Chat with this. b) Certain keys are broadcast. - Play with this 95% of the time. c) Everything is broadcast. - Limited uses, but very nice for passwords or everyone /dance. What breaks follow? Anytime your toons engages in melee combat. Anytime your toons moves (including forward, backward, strafe left/right, or any turn). Since you're flying, it won't be melee as you'd dismount and fall. Is there any movement keys broadcast? If you have the slave on follow, and move the main entirely with the mouse (by pressing both buttons together), does follow also break or is it only with "W" or "Up Arrow" the default move forward keys?

| Ualaa has it spot on with the typical setup. I do exactly as he says, except I never have a-z in the broadcast list, so chatting works with my normal keybinds. When I do /dance or /equip SomeItem then I go to the broadcast all list. One thing to keep in mind is how IWT/CTM works. Your character can run away because the current location of the IWT/CTM target has moved (IWT/CTM moves your character to the location of the target AT THE TIME the IWT/CTM was issued). So if your guy runs to the target, and the target has moved, and out of melee range, your character will keep running into oblivion. This is why you often have to spam your IWT key, or use IWT in conjunction with /follow focus and such. Once you get the knack of it down, it will be godly, and you will pwn |

| Thanks Ualaa and Tim for taking the time to answer. The follow does break when I'm using just the mouse keys on the main. I have played two accounts together, prior to downloading pwnboxer ( or any other boxing software for that matter) and I didn't experience the follow being dropped midflight. I was guessing it might be latency issues, but wanted to see if anyone else had had that problem and their fix for it. May I please ask what IWT/CTM means? I feel I should apologize for my ignorance, yet, how else will I learn? I did figure out how to bind the keys so that I can cancel broadcast all and then toggle broadcast all. Due to the nature of my keybindings, I would never want to not broadcast all. I have a pretty organic and nontraditional keybinding system. Thanks again for taking the time to help, I appreciate it. |

| Do you have the Frames per Second limited on the following character? I know in Everquest, if you go below 10 or 12 FPS, the following character loses follow. Not sure if that's the case in Warcraft. When I was using a Q6600 system, early in WotLK... I could easily lose follow flying, and if I lead with the Paladin (Crusader Aura on), I could lose a Shaman or the Warlock with epic ground mounts. Upgrading to an i7 920, and it became impossible to lose a follower regardless of who was leading and/or if Crusader Aura is on. You could try having the slave toon look downwards at the ground, which would reduce the amount of textures and graphics they would need to load. Lower settings, in particular Shadows and Viewing Distance could help. CTM = Click to Move IWT = Interact With Target
