Cool Quests Gone?

I'm thinking that quests that ran through Thrall are now gone or modified slightly. Not the minor ones but the big ones such as the Battle for UnderCity. It use to take you to a phased Orgimmar, then to a phased UC. I finished up Wrathgate last night on my druids, but the Dragon Queen would not give me the followup quests after the cutscene that lead to the Battle for UC. And this appears to be confirmed from what I've read on other message boards. Another cool quest that is gone, is when you tell Thrall of the Mag'har clan in Outlands, and he comes and visits Garrosh... he marches into the zone with some bodyguards... then there is some dialogue... really cool.

Though Cata is new material, it was also a good excuse for Blizz to clean up some of their mistakes and I'm wondering if the phased Capital cities were causing them more customer support tickets then it was worth

Hey could you explain what you mean by the phased Capital cities? Is it really phased now for everything, or just for a handful of quests?

I haven't played WoW really since 4.0 came out because I want to keep it all under wraps until Cataclysm fully is released!

No just during the quest Battle for Undercity I believe it's called, you would go into a phased version of Org where the Horde leaders are meeting to talk about the uprising or revolt in Undercity by Sylvannus's sidekick Varimathras. Then you go to UC (a phased version of it) and fight all his underlings to reclaim UC. It's phased because while you are on that quest when you go to Org and UC it's these phased versions... so the often reported bug is when people abandon the quests but can't go back to the actual instances of the Capital cities... only these 'phased' version of them.

It was a neat questline... one of the examples where phasing was cool, but all in all... it's sort of a pain in the butt. Especially for multiboxers who may not have all their toons in the same phase.
