From the article:

Quote:
Update: To be clear, it would be much better if Congress explicitly granted the FCC the authority to do things like mandate net neutrality principles. The court isn't wrong in its ruling. And you know, it'd be even better if the FCC really didn't need to regulate the internet at all, and everybody could just trust the ISPs to do the right thing. Comcast blew that by blocking p2p traffic and being shady about it. So, in the meantime, regardless of the actual legal issues surrounding the extent of the FCC's authority, the effects on consumers could be real, and could be bad.
eek... =(

Google isn't starting an ISP corp. They're experimenting with a broadband framework to be adopted by ISPs. What needs to happen though is the government needs to build the infrastructure and control it. That way small ISPs have a real fighting chance and competition can more easily apply itself.

Until then, FCC needs to be given the power to enforce net neutrality.

Actually if you think about it, what will probably happen is the US Govt. will issue a decree stating that the FCC has authority over XYZ matters, and then the FCC will issue into law XYZ detail.

Either way, any corrupt people inside Comcast need to be killed for the greater good of mankind.
